Question for SPP insiders

OP - According to a few of my sources at the google, he enters the upcoming season (sophomore) with 0 career stats so either he is new to football or he never saw the field as a freshman, looks more like a lacrosse prospect to me.

He's a frosh.

There aren't a lot of guys who are RB/LBs in SPP history that have varsity snaps as freshman.

He's a good player, but not the best in his class. Can he mature into a stud? He has the frame. Time will tell.

His highlights are on HUDL.

The QB Maynor and Roman Oben's son are both tracking higher at this stage.

Awful story.

I don't know many locals who swim in that part (or any) of the Inlet. Easy place for a lot to go wrong.
Just Horrible.. Was talking to a couple friends that are very experienced divers that regularly spear fish in Shark River and Manasquan Inlets. They said the same thing as you. Not many people take the risk to dive there. Too many things out of your control in that stretch is what they said.

Here are Bowers' highlights http://www.hudl.com/athlete/6160301/tracy-bowers-jr

He looks intriguing because he seems pretty athletic with a big frame for a freshman/incoming sophomore. He needs to get stronger, he seems to go down pretty easy and his position is up for debate because he already seems too tall/upright for running back. He has much better athleticism than a lot of his competition based on these highlights so he is someone to keep tabs on.

He told me that he is playing WR this year, and DB. I'm 6'1, and he was at least my height. Figure he still has some growing to do.
