Question for the Giants, Jets, and Eagles fans here.

Since the Giants already won 3 Superbowls, I would like to see Rutgers win at least another National Championship, besides the 1869 one.... suck on that Cubs fans!
I wouldn't care if all my pro teams went 0-fer for every damn game the rest of my life if it meant a football or even basketball championship for RU.
Rutgers. I'm a Jets fan, but as one reporter put it a few years ago, you can be the biggest Giants fan in the world but you will never be a New York Giant. As long as you went to Rutgers, you will always be a Scarlet Knight.
wow, something the philly and nyc fans can agree on here. 3 super bowls to 1 national champ for RU is easy - RU no question. it would have to be something like 10 to 1 in terms of superbowls to take giants... even then, i wouldn't do it if there was some kind of "RU sucks forever" clause.
Same and I had both Eagles and RU season tickets from 1999-2007.
I went to all of the Eagles home playoff games during the Reid/McNabb era but none of those games compare to the excitement of the 2006 Louisville game.
Asking this on the wrong board. Of course anyone who spends time here in the middle of summer is going to be all RU, myself included. No debate at all.
Jets and Rutgers season ticket holder. Love Rutgers and it will always be special to me but I was a Jets fan a long time before I was a Rutgers fan. I'd take the Jets winning three Super Bowls. I'm surprised other Jets fans don't agree. I can see why Giants fan would opt for Rutgers b/c they have won 4 bowls since 1986.

Well since the Giants win Superbowls all the time anyway[winking] it would have to be Rutgers all the way. Think New Jersey would just explode with excitement, something everyone in the state could hang their hats on. Could careless about the bandwagon fans and would be on cloud 9.
I'm a Jets fan and not only would I take a NC before I would also take Rose Bowl and a lifetime of wins against TTFP
Not going to lie--going Eagles on this one. I've got a ton more family/friends who are Eagles fans than those who are RU fans so I feel like the whole experience would be more enjoyable since it would be a bigger party and celebration among my immediate surroundings. Take out that aspect of it and RU winning would definitely be cooler and mean more long term.
Lifelong Jets fan, but Rutgers in a heartbeat. Pro athletes go from team to team for money, but Rutgers players are OUR guys. Everybody could probably pick a RU player from within 15 mins of their house. Plus, if they win, they will never be a laughingstock again.
Here's the thing if Rutgers won a NC itwould mean nearly a decade of top ten seasons. So I'd take that over 3 super bowls. Now if we're talking 3 super bowls in a row I'd have to goGiants. That would make them the greatest franchise in the best sport.
I hate to be that guy that FIFY, but they have won 4. And although I would love "one for the thumb" this is a no brainer. Go KNIGHTS!
I would take a Rutgers National Championship in Football(beating Ped State in the final would be nice too), than World Peace! Does that answer the Question?
I think of the two things completely separately...two different things. RU is where I went to college and I want the football team to do great, however, it is suppose to be amateur athletics (although that has become something of a farce in some places). I don't expect RU to be at the level on the football field to win a NC in my lifetime probably. It takes too much investment and too much selling of the soul to get there. Although Northwestern got to the Rose Bowl once, if RU did that..it would be equivalent to the NC in my mind. I've been a Jet fan since 1968 and I would like them to win another Super Bowl before i'm out of here.
