Rashan Gary's Mom -- Will Coach Ash make a visit?

It looks like he wants to play for a proven football factory. If I were him, I'd consider Stanford before any of them, but Todderick Hunt said that Gary would have to take extra courses in order to qualify.

But what if Ash visits him twice, do our odds double?

X * 0 = 0

Since he's new, he'll need to bring at least two large brown paper bags full of money.

I don't understand the need for an "In-House" visit.
Rashan knows that any program in the NCAA wants him to go to their school.
It should come down to which school has the best ability to make him ready for the NFL.
Who has had the most recent success at the defensive line position?
IMO, that would be Ohio State or Alabama.
(If I were an offensive lineman, Stanford would in the equation)
(Strictly on academics, Stanford would be my pick as well)

I would love for him to go to RU, but I don't think it makes sense for him.
Maybe in 3 or 4 years Coach Ash can turn that perception around, but even then I do not expect many #1 Overall Recruits to come to Rutgers.
Too many football factories.

It's just a shame that Flood never got real traction with Gary.

Remember when Flood had the Big Three down to campus last Summer to discuss staying home. Gary was then warm to the idea and was trying to convince Walker and JG to really think about it. He asked Flood to consider offering his close bud, DwumFour, a scholarship.

Alas, once the big boys got involved, Flood lost out completely....and knowing SEC excesses, surely the bag man came and visited.

Here is a recruiting pitch that will seal the deal:

Mrs. Gary, I have a plan that will get your baby in the NFL in three years.
First, we will pay you through a bank owned by one of our boosters so you can take out a big insurance policy out on your son.
Second, we will red shirt him. Now he is not going to like it but we don't want him get hurt playing against bigger kids.
Third, we will play him for few games in his second year and get him ready for the breakout third year.
After the third year, NFL will be salivating. You keep telling those nasty SL reporters that you want your son to get a degree but don't give them any kind of time.
NFL loves kids who leave early and he will be the first pick in the NFL with a guaranteed bonus of over $75 million.
This plan of action will help your baby achieve his dream and, most importantly, help him take care of his loving momma for the rest of her life.
What changes would you like to make to this plan that we have jointly put together?

Kid's Mom is playing the factory game like Gurantano's dad. Only Gary has real translatable skills.
Who do you consider a "good" QB? Name 10 from the last 5 years, NFL or College.

As for JG, I don't care if he comes here or not. He seems to have some skill but I'm happy with the guy who chose RU.

You forgot to add " And who should the check be made out to... Shit, I forgot checks are traceable. We will give you your specified amount monthly in unmarked $1 bills and stash it in the big bush behind the McDonalds drive thru menu. If anyone catches you with the money and asks say you won it at bingo."

Let's be real any one of a 100 schools could meet his needs if he is anywhere near as good as his hype, he needs to be in a program that will allow him to start right away and get to the NFL in 3 years. it would be nice to win a lot and go to Jan 1 bowl games, but that's just window dressing. Also if someone throws a bag of SEC money through the window that would be nice as well.

After what we've seen from "Rutgers Men" the past year, not being Rutgers Material may not always be a bad thing.
To be honest, I never bought into the whole "Rutgers Men" thing anyway. Once they've been here a few years, maybe one could classify students and athletes as Rutgers people. But I don't think anybody could be so classified prior to having even taken a class or participated in a practice.

One's that actually produce. On the field. Not in t-shirts and shorts.

Take your pick. There are lots.

Word has it (from some little birds here in Michigan) that the new Lincoln Navigator Rashan Gary and family will soon be enjoying is an indicator that he will be coming to Michigan. I hope the vehicle thing is not true, and I would like to believe it's just nasty rumors spread by trolling trouble makers.

Rashan has also just recently started following several Michigan folks on Twitter:

I love college football.... but methinks recruiting is a filthy business.

Wow. Michigan can buys navigators and we can't even have a pleasant chat with one of our own professors.

If he ends up at Michigan, its a sure sign the B1G is as dirty as the SEC.

Sad actually.

Every successful school is dirty, most just as dirty as the others. Some are just better at hiding it.

Yup... if the Lincoln Navigator story is true (I hope it's not), one would believe that there is going to be a legit/proper leasing paper trail set up by friends of friends of an affluent Michigan booster. I'm sure these folks know how to be very good at hiding such activity, and no direct link to Michigan will be established.

The sad thing is they've stopped trying to even hide it. Remember when Gary went to Michigan while his mom visited RU because "they couldn't afford to get him there and he hitched a ride" with the Camden guys? Few weeks later they have enough money to fly to Baton Rouge twice in a month? Today, he comes out and says after his 5 official visits he will take 3 additional unofficial visits to his top 3 as if mom got a raise or won powerball. We already know Ole miss and Michigan are two of the three. At least his mom hasn't played the whole academic card nonsense lately. I get recruiting is dirty and I'm ok with it but his mom is at a whole other level. Hell, she was shaking down HS coaches during his HS transfer process.

Got news for you, if Gary ends up at Michigan, the Navigator is just the tip of the iceberg. My over under on the whole package is $250K.

Since his mother has made more than a few posts on nj.com, I have a feeling this thread will reach her attention....and if it does, it will be very interesting to see if she publicly responds to such a rumor as the Lincoln Navigator.

For what it's worth, I know of football players whose families paid for a nice SUV for their son as soon as it was clear he would be getting a full ride. In other words, I don't think an SUV is a red flag.
