It's a different year but it's just interesting the discussion surrounding this game just one year later.

Last year Rutgers fans couldn't wait to stick it to Penn State in their new conference. Penn State fans couldn't wait to put Rutgers where they belong in a "welcome to the Big Ten" Moment.

This year, we have a team that with an offensive line with more holes than cheese from Switzerland, and a team that is missing a secondary as well as their two other best players. Both fans couldn't be more down on their teams. Pretty much a 180 in about one year.

I'm a little surprised that Penn State is favored by as much as they are, but i'm hoping we shook some of the cobwebs off over the first two games and that Temple is much better than we thought.

This would work better if RU had actually won a game vs., had a better season than, won a better bowl game than, etc. PSU at some point. (and yes, I realize that RU beat PSU in 1988 - I was a student living on Somerset at the time).

Between the Floodscapades and the horrible loss to WSU, you (meaning vk91) must be really reeling...

No, I definitely wasn't a beat Temple by 30 guy, but that's ok you can make that crap up just like you make it up as you go along in your defense of the "Rutgers guy." It's funny, you and all the guys on here making fun of Franklin as a snake oil salesman, when all the while you can't wait to pay for the bill of goods being sold to you by Flood. Yup, he is good with the pressers - that's one thing he does well as a D1 coach. Of the two, I think there is one guy who actually believes what he is selling, and I don't think he is at RU.

Yeah, but I never said this was the last year for Rutgers to beat PSU. Quite the opposite -- I think Rutgers will continue to be good competition for PSU for at least a few years. Including this year, which is why I think PSU -10 is too much.
