Will add more as I receive them. Most of the guys who came yesterday were current commits and a lot of 2018's.
Class of 2017
WR Tyler Hayek (Wayne Hills - NJ): "The visit went very well, I had a great time. It was cool to just be on the field with some of the guys and I got a chance to meet a couple new people. My favorite part was when a couple of people actually knew who I was. I was walking up the steps and some fan was saying "Welcome aboard Tyler!", it was just a great feeling."
DE Mike Tverdov (Union - NJ): It was a tough loss, but they gave Iowa a heck of a fight. The defensive line play really well all game, but we just missed some opportunities to strike. My favorite part was that huge run by Jamarion Grant, but sadly he was injured on the play. I’m hoping for the best right now for him."
DL Saleem Lockett (Imhotep Charter - PA): it went great, I had a real nice time. Comparing it from last year games that I was at. It was a different feel (better), definitely seems like things are changing for the better."
LB Brendan DeVera (Wayne Hills - NJ): "the visit went pretty good. I got a chance to talk to Coach Mantz, he told me my highlight tape so far this season is crazy. As for the game I loved seeing the defense step up and hold Iowa to only 14 the entire day. I'll most likely be back at Rutgers for the Michigan game in a couple weeks."
DB Ihmir Marsette (Weequahic - NJ): "I made it just in time for the second half, we were having some transportation issues. It was a cool game and it was very intense. My favorite part was the one sack Rutgers had in the 4th quarter and just hearing the entire crowd come alive. I will definitley be back soon, probably for the Michigan game."
K Justin Davidovicz (Bridgwater Raritan - NJ): "The Rutgers game went very well. They played very well as a team and I definitely liked what I saw with the energy they had. I got a chance to talk to coach Okruch for a little bit, but we were just talking about my season etc. nothing too crazy."
P Ethan Torres (Bishop O’Connell - VA): “I really like what I saw from the team today and on the visit overall. It was very professional and organize. The upgrades they made to the Hale Center were extremely nice. I thought the fans were very loud and definitley created a solid home field advantage. It was a difficult loss, but the team competed all day long.”
Class of 2018
OL Dan Dawkins (Peddie School - NJ): Unfortunately Rutgers lost , but they looked pretty good upfront on both sides of the ball. My favorite part was just seeing he physicality of the team and all the effort they put on the field. I got a chance to talk to coach Blazek after the game. We mostly just talked about how he liked wha he saw on my film and is definitley coming down to check out one of my games soon."
DB Evan Stewart (St Joe's Regional): "The visit went good, I liked it a lot. One thing that I noticed was there was definitely a different atmosphere at Rutgers right now from past years."
