Remember when our students got slammed for behavior during a Navy game?

I
AM
SHOCKED!

You, you mean, they simply look across the field and for a few hours only see a football adversary upon whom they will "gladly visit violence upon"?

Don't let that hack idiot Mark DiIonno know. He's the clown that made huge hay out of abso-f**cking-lutely NOTHING at our expense all those years ago.

And then there are the tender hearted boobies on this board who agreed with him. I remember and still don't take you seriously in matters of Rutgers fandom to this day.

It's a violent game played by physical beasts. Yes, the Academy players will fight for us upon their graduation, but for 4 quarters on any given Saturday they are our adversary. I think they were able to handle 10 Rutgers students chanting bad words at them. Apparently they are able to dish it out as well. Who woulda thunk it?

Sorry but it is different when Army, Navy and Air Force do it to each other. No one thinks that they are being disrespectful to the US Military, because they are the US Military!

I do not think that the Navy players care at all, but that is what happens when you have drunk Walmart fans show up to a game.... dumb stuff. At the end of teh day it made us look bad, even if it wasn't our fault.

But, that is water under the bridge as we have played both many time since.

Walmart sells Rutgers stuff now?

Does @HeavenUniv. know about this?

Well, at least they are not asking for safe spaces and coloring books.

And they pointed out the horror of a cannon, and a HOWITZER on the field. What kind of school would have artillery on the field to be fired after points are scored?

Not literally.. LOL
I think I misread your earlier post.

You meant those wearing the hoodies, right?

I thought you meant our students. Oops.

Having been to multiple games over the years at both West Point and Annapolis I will say the townie element that shows up is an "interesting" bunch of folks.

I love boobies......but are you using "tender hearted" as a pejorative ?
Why would you do that ?

It only made Rutgers look bad because Rutgers wanted to crucify itself on the alter of Political Correctness. (If I may mix a metaphor or two.)

I was there. If it were actually 10 students, they have THE loudest voices in the collegiate fan population

And still not totally converted to that SJW bullsh*it

Actually, SJW nonsense is only for certain departments and certain majors (liberal arts, Women's studies, African American Studies, just about any thing with studies in the title, etc)

You won't find that nonsense with STEM departments or any degree that you can actually have a career with.

Because SJW is a freak show the media loves it for clickbait and ratings. But, it is a bit overblown, IMHO. The students that go to college to get a job don't give a sh*t about that stuff anymore than we did when we were in college.

So in college, the 1st two years are the only time serious students have to put up with SJW nonsense.

Don't care if it was 20,000. It was stupid to make a big deal out of.

I was there too FWIW and it really wasn't all that loud.

Why would you do that ?

"Tender Hearted" as in the complete clowns who had the single tear running down their cheek (ala the 'Native American' [Indian] in the old don't pollute commercials) thinking the Navy LB who just tried to tear our QBs head off to stuff in his bunk as an emergency flotation device gave a rats fuzzy butthole that our students chanted bad words at them.

yup but a giant, 'RU kidding me' or 'we'll worry about more important matters' and it's a dead issue. Give something a voice and it becomes a roar, ignore it, it squeaks......
Well that's our wonderful RU administration.

I am pretty sure that future Marines and Navy Seals couldn't give a flying (!@#$%&*) about a silly chat.

That said, it is bad PR to boo those teams. It is just a bad look. Never boo Army, Navy and Air Force. Just don't do it. They can boo themselves, but no one else should.

Having played Army and Navy in lax, those are some of our finest warriors not choir boys.

Pretty low grade for any fans to chant F anything, regardless of opponent.

I recall national and NYC media only pumped the NavyBoo scandal after McCormick sent out university wide letters condemning and apologizing for behavior
