Remember when we would be planning to attend a bowl this time of year?

Nuts would be getting opinions on what bar to have his party at. I miss those days :(

The 2005 bowl in Arizona has to be the best.
The 2012 bowl in Orlando was my second favorite
The 2008 Birmingham bowl was my third favorite

Those threads including scoops on airfare and hotels and drive times and figuring out "which ones" were some of the best pre-holiday times. Say goodbye for now.. but that should benefit the basketball team during those weeks. Holiday festival here I come.

They were good times. I traveled to Arizona, Toronto, and of course Yankee Stadium. Actually, i loved Toronto way more than Phoenix for the nightlife and city. The best bowl was the first one, Insight, though we lost its a game I'll never forget. We were so competitive and well coached and ran a Pro-set offense. Memories....

I had a blast in Toronto, Birmingham, and Orlando! I remember all the Canadians asking about those red Rs a lot of people wore!

Same here. Marching down the streets of a snowy Toronto following the RU Band on a Friday night after the Pep Rally: Priceless.

Remember the excitement of
Thursday night games against USF
Beating UCONN to get that elusive 6th win
Temple
Double OT wins against Army.
2.5 million dollar paydays from TV revenue
Waiting for baseball, NFL, and the ACC to finalize their schedules before getting ours?
Friday 11 am games against Lville

Perspective people. Perspective.

Went to the Tampa bowl game. There were a lot of UCF fans there. They looked surprised they lost.

Only 5 more years and all the money will start rolling in. Or at least that's what we were told. Meanwhile everyone else's in the conference says we should of never been invited. It's great to be in a club where no one wants you.

Then in 10 or 20 years we will catch up to Maryland and Indiana.

Some of us won't live to see it.

Loved going to Bowl games but hated this time of year. Spending hours looking reasonable airfares and hotel rooms. Flying on short notice is expensive. Flew to Houston but had to leave on Christmas morning. Drove to Toronto and Birmingham.
Didn't make it to AZ because of cost.
Toronto was by far my favorite. Loved the post game parties. We took over several bars. The locals weren't happy as there was a junior national hockey tournament going on and the could listen to the game as we were so loud! I mean they really care about friggin junior hockey!
I don't consider the pinstripe a bowl game. Its just a local exhibition. If you are waking up in your own bed. Not partying for days, it's not a bowl game!

Our game vs. Maryland at Yankee Stadium at the end of next year might be our Bowl game.
Pre Pin$tripe Bowl.

With our schedule this year, we would have easily gone bowling with some of those teams. Of course no one pines for that era otherwise. But would those BE teams have beaten Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois, and not gotten blanked 4 times? Yes. Hell Pitt beat a team in the running for winning the conference.

Only made it to the Texas Bowl. Great facility and priceless stunned faces on Kansas St. fans. At least I was at RU's first ever bowl win.

The level of competition in out of conference games and Big East competition were far easier under Schiano than now as a member of the B1G.Bowl games will be harder to attain even with 6-6 records.

Those days don't seem so bad right now.
