Called negotiating- kid says he wants more or he walks and they say “walk”Not breaking anything. They told the kid no f’in way will give him what he wants. If he demands the $$ or he’s walking they have every right to say no way go ahead and walk.
I agree it is negotiating. But if he says I’m going to walk if you don’t pay, then they didn’t end it, he did. In negotiation you can go extreme, but you have to be willing to deal with the consequences.Called negotiating- kid says he wants more or he walks and they say “walk”
We will find out if his “agent” f-ed him or not
Yes that right .Well, that is all part of any negotiation. When I join a new organization- I negotiate a severance package prior to taking the job. If they decide they don’t want to do that, they are free to hire someone else.
UmmmmmmHis stats are decent but no way does he command the $4 mil. dollar price tag he was asking for. I don't even think he commands the $2.4 mil. he's paid for 63% comp. 19 TD 5 int. I mean Athan while 10% points less on comp., had more passing yds.(tells me Nico was doing a lot of dump offs for that high %) 1 less TD pass, 2 more int. and they both rushed for 3 TD's and similar yds.
That’s what programs with money to burn call qb development.
Of course you kid, but Schiano’s stench within the UT nation will last a hundred years and the school will drop football before ever considering taking a Schiano quarterback.Athan to Tennessee. You nailed it.
not sure if noted here but ESPN said he wanted $4mil vs. the measly $2.4 he was getting. Not breaking anything. They told the kid no f’in way will give him what he wants. If he demands the $$ or he’s walking they have every right to say no way go ahead and walk.
Two words..Buyout clause. You also don't hear them complain when their school hires a coach who is under contract with another team, or when their school breaks its contract with the conference to join one that pays much better. Everybody else in college sports treats all contracts as negotiable, who can expect the players to act any differently?
Matter of fact, this may be the last best time for players to exercise what leverage they have if this Clearinghouse turns out to be what we're being told it is.
Cost of eggs ain't getting any cheapernot sure if noted here but ESPN said he wanted $4mil vs. the measly $2.4 he was getting.
Cost of eggs ain't getting any cheaper
The kid made $2M sitting the bench his true freshman year and then another $2.4 last season (r-frosh). Would have been “earned@ a total of almost $7M by the end of is r-soph year. I don’t feel bad for him.not sure if noted here but ESPN said he wanted $4mil vs. the measly $2.4 he was getting.
In other words Nico counted his chickens before they hatched and wound up with egg on his face when Tennessee became hard boiled 🙃What is the current average cost?
Nationwide, the average cost of a dozen Grade A eggs was $6.22 in March 2025
I just paid $4.99 free range brown at Shop Rite last Friday 😁
look at you lol. 👍In other words Nico counted his chickens before they hatched and wound up with egg on his face when Tennessee became hard boiled 🙃
So you're taking the sunny-side up approach since Tennessee don't care if their eggs Benedict is poached because they won't waffle for him to stay .look at you lol. 👍
Perhaps UT cracked under pressure but Qbs are a dime a dozen . Perhaps they should have sat on it and let it hatch a bit more but at least they don't look like they have to scramble for the next one. Should be over fairly easy.
I think we're "runny" out of yokes. So you're taking the sunny-side up approach since Tennessee don't care if their eggs Benedict is poached because they won't waffle for him to stay .
Darn!!! I better spend less time on this board
I'm beginning to understand what I'm talking about 🥸
Go to Costco, they have gotten cheaper there. Although now that Nico doesnt have a current income, he might not be able to afford the yearly, membership fee.Cost of eggs ain't getting any cheaper
My take ? F him and the rest of these mercenaries who know 1 thing. Me.
Guy slipped out on meetings and practice. He broke the agreement. Not breaking anything. They told the kid no f’in way will give him what he wants. If he demands the $$ or he’s walking they have every right to say no way go ahead and walk.
This is disgusting. How much are their lineman getting paid to protect these types of guys?It gets even better…
I agree with you. My point was in response to someone suggesting TN broke the agreement. This is on Nico, not TN. And as more info comes out it becomes clear his dad was slimy and the agent went even further. The kid is likely the victim of his overbearing and greedy father and a sleazy agent. But at the end of they day, he went along with it all.Guy slipped out on meetings and practice. He broke the agreement.
I agree. I was responding to that other guy that always seems on the wrong side of everythingI agree with you. My point was in response to someone suggesting TN broke the agreement. Now he is scrambling for another team because they decided to heuvo good bye to him.ok, my brain is fried. Time to fly the coop.
