RIP Bill "Wiz" Martin

Anyone familiar with Linden High School football and/or track from the 1960's through the 1990's, will probably recall the name Bill "Wiz" Martin. Bill passed away in the middle of March. His obituary may be found at:

Don't remember him as a player but he was one of my track coaches in high school. Also his son Jeff was a QB during my high school years. R.I.P.

I did know Coach Martin. He was a very nice man. All the athletes that I knew all liked him too. Little by little it seems that many people I knew are passing away. Such is life. I was never on his team as I ran Cross Country for Coach Joe Gaines and played baseball for Coach Frank Catale.
