RIP star ledger

An article needs to be written about the time Schiano visited the hospital on the day of the biggest game of his life. That is the story that needs to come out. Also a story about how he was there for Eric Legrand. Where is that story? Or how he ran a clean program and hit the highest academic standards. When are these stories going to be published by SL? Come on star ledger, show us you care and want what’s best for NJ. We deserve something we can rally around as a community. Some state pride would be nice!!

Anyone like how this was buried at the bottom of the NJ.com Star-Ledger story?

Pat Hobbs, Rutgers athletic director, met with Ohio State’s athletic director, Gene Smith, in August and asked if the university had found any evidence Schiano knew about Sandusky’s sexual abuse while both were at Penn State, according to a New York Times report.

Smith told the Rutgers official “there was nothing there,” according to the report.
First.. August? Hobbs was doing due diligence on Schiano in August? Was that just at regular Big Ten preseason meeting or something special?

But to the point.. the writer(s) allude to Schiano knowing something or should have known something for the bulk of the article.. then tack on exculpatory stuff in the end.. ya know. for balance.

This whole trend of the accused having to prove their innocence is disturbing.

Schiano should have sued those Tennessee fans who lied about him.. and McQueary who lied about him (and got $12M doing so in his whistleblower case against Penn State) and maybe he should sue this executive director as well. Enough is enough. What's next.. a bored Jerry Sandusky gets recruited by some writer to say that Greg knew.. maybe get something put into his commissary account at the prison? C'mon Star-Ledger.. get to work.. you can always stoop lower. You ain't trying hard enough.

My tinfoil hat guess is: Zoffinger Strikes Back.

Now that American Dream Meadowlands has finally "opened", he feels like he's gotten the last laugh. But just to be the Supreme El Dicko that he is, he decides to arrange a lunch meeting between his lickspittle Sherman and this screeching victims group President to share agenda items.

for years they’ve done their best to hold us back.

For years their personal gain came before anything else.

It’s finally over. Rutgers will go ahead and hire Greg , no matter how hard they dig up stories from decades ago. We will finally flip the narrative with these guys and will not cave into their pressure.

Huge day for N.J. Huge day for the U of N.J.
Huge day for Rutgers football
The Star Liar and 95% of the MSM is Fake News! Trump has been saying this for years! It took GS to finally wake you up? WTF.

Always wise to keep attacking the ONLY NEWSPAPER that actually covers us regularly.

More of a rallying cry my man.

Our relationship with the ledger can be killed and reborn in a different light starting today .

You on board ?
Rallying cry? No. I'll pass on being board if I have to act like the Star Liar.

It will be a good day when they do fold but I'm not crawling in the sewer with them.

Good. The fake and corrupt media need to come to an end.

Right, unconditional love for the paper who appears to undermine RU's sports programs most chances it gets. Reminds me of a dog who gets beaten by its owner, yet continually goes back go the owner with its tail wagging only to get beat again. What a novel idea.

Rutgers would be brain dead if it hired Schiano.
He was associated with the worst scandal in CFB history.
He must pay for his crime of not going to the police.
He could have saved so many innocent lives.
He is damaged goods.

To quote, (and slightly paraphrase), the great Abraham Lincoln:

"'Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak, (or write), and remove all doubt".

...Learn it, know it, live it.

Or in this case, feed the troll. Not that you’re doing it but rather trying to tell that D-bag something useful.

Unless Greg doesn’t turn it around... then they will crucify him.

Unless G.S. doesn’t turn it around.... then the Ledger will crucify him.

Their OPINION weighs no more than anyone else’s.

And if we need to battle them, we can easily defeat them. If the people on this message board took to Twitter it would completely drown out the ledger.
Don’t fear them.

Why no hate here for Patricia Teffenhart, the loser who is offering her opinion? As far as I am concerned, she is a hypocrite and a fraud.

Teffenhart has close ties apparently with Senator Bob Menendez, and attended the 2018 State of the Union as his guest. Menendez has been accused of having sex with underage prostitutes; while there is some evidence that the allegations may not be true, the same can be said of Schiano, where the allegations against Menendez are much more recent and direct (he himself was accused of the pedophilia). The Obama DOJ released a report in 2015, which detailed how they found “corroborating evidence” that Sen. Menendez and Democrat mega-donor Dr. Salomon Melgen had sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic. To be fair here, there are other reports that the female accusers were paid by GOP operatives. Who knows what the truth is, but this is far more serious than the third hand allegations against Schiano. Menendez was also censored by the Senate Ethics Committee over his relationship with donor/friend Dr. Melgen, who is now doing a long prison sentence.

Additionally, Teffenhart was a member of NJ Governor Murphy's transition team. For those who don't follow NJ politics too closely, Murphy's campaign placed a gag order that prevents women from speaking out about abuse that they may have suffered working on his campaign. Such "abuse" includes the alleged rape of Katie Brennan, a Murphy campaign staffer. This has been widely reported by Tom Moran of the S/L. Yet, Teffenhart proudly states how she was a member of Murphy's transition team.

Ted Sherman at it again. Will not post link:

Rutgers student tied to racial bias incident at Syracuse, chancellor says
So what? Do you live in Jersey? State is full of educated and uneducated racists. If you are of color and grew up here you usually have a pretty thick skin. Plus, plenty of racism in other states as well.

Why the need for a headline about a Rutgers student?
100% agree. That was my point. There is plenty of racist acts committed every day in every walk of life throughout this country, That rag just loves to promote the most negative aspect of the state in general, and Rutgers specifically. Stopped reading a long, long time ago.

We seem to be missing each other's points lately. I was ready to come back with: :YesNo. Glad we agree. [cheers]
