Made the announcement at halftime. Macy's people, band people & Holloway on the field. I'm sitting next to a band mom, she said the kids are over the moon.
Thanks. I thought they might be going this year. But that's fantastic. will plan to go and see them.
I hope they put more effort into it than the ever-present crowd pleasing "Turn Up The Radio, and Other Rock Hits from 1984" show
Can't you just be happy for them for a moment? Maybe start with "that's awesome " before criticizing & complaining?

Good point. I've said many times that marching bands aren't my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean I can't see how this is a huge deal for the band and RU and be happy for them. Great stuff.

They have to apply to be considered. That's something they should apply for every year.

Play to the home side of the stadium once a year? Not that difficult of a concept. Comprehension much?
The cameras are on the visitor (west) side which is why we moved to the other side (east) in the 90s.

I was referring to Rutgers, but let me clarify. Members of the Rutgers Marching Band were in the 1985 Macy's Day Parade, but as part of the Walt Disney World float.
