Watched the postgame press conference with Tim and came away with the same feeling of disgust for some of his responses to some probing questions. Again proving that he is not suited for a position of leadership. Knowing some Xs and Os is maybe not even half of what it takes to be successful as a coach. This guy acts like he cannot even fathom any of the disappointments of this season being any fault of his.
After watching what we watched last night, he had the audacity to put all the blame on the players for this disappointing season. When asked about getting the team back to RU expectations from where we are this season, Tim inexplicably flat out disrespected his current players. He said we have to recruit players who can put the ball in the basket,... players who want to score the ball. Someone tell him that he has the unique situation of having 5,,,,,,,,FIVE...1,000 pt scorers ....First and only time........who have been jerked around by his coaching decisions. He never once mentioned the returning players stepping into the void left by graduating seniors. Instead talked like the plan is to recruit over them again with HS signings and the transfer portal. He is not doing CVS or the program any favors in regards to retaining the current returning group of players.
Again proving that he never believed in this transfer group or even the sophomore class of recruits....heck anybody on the current roster. Responses like those start to erode my previous thoughts that he's a good guy who is in over his head. He now comes across to me as more self-centered than anything else. Not willing to look in the mirror first when dealing with the difficulties of this season. An adult in a leadership position who can so easily throw youngsters under the bus (undeservedly at that), is one i wouldn't want associated with my program. He sounds like Q Hils with that kind of response.
