RU vs Ohio State 2/22/2020

Arella goes one on one and hits a tough shot !!!

Giurantes leads OSU by 2, with 4.3 secs to go !

4.3 left. They'll get it at halfcourt (I love this rule btw). Can we play tough D and not foul? Big moment here.

what a win back against the wall

best performance of season

defense was incredible most of the day but especially in the 4th

offense looked way better even when it wasnt just Guirantes

Guirantes with a Caroline De Roose type performance

Give CVS credit, OSU has been her bugaboo

season saving win

Arella Giurantes beats Ohio St !!!

Epic performance !

Arella with 36 points on 15-21 shooting.!

Wow, that brings back memories from 25+ years ago. And she played for Grentz if I recall.

Team might have blowed the inbounds, but overcame that by playing with a lot of heart.
RU earned the win today by not giving up
and fighting back when it counted.

Close, but a good win which is making a tourney invite something that is looking good now

Agree Bac--team got through a rough 2nd quarter where OSU couldn't miss, particularly from 3. But while OSU shot 45% from 3 for the game, they only hit two in the second half, and they shot only 36.7% from the field for the entire game--incredible defensive effort. After OSU went up 39-30 at start of second half, RU outscored them rest of the way 29-18.

Biggest stats of the game:
  • Arella 15-21 from field, 3-3 from 3-pt range
  • OSU 36.7% from FG for game
  • RU 11 turnovers to OSU's 19

This is the type of message that a true fan makes, even if that fan has pointed out faults on more than one occasion.

Had to say this because I often take bac to task on something he posts (I don't agree with), but will never say he doesn't care or only posts after a loss, so he can complain.

Arella was the entire team on offense. BUT it was a total team win on defense ...

OSU had either 1 or ZER0 (0) baskets in the 4th quarter ... just incredible

Hopefully RU finds a way to beat either Indiana or Iowa, and manages a first round bye, however even if they don't, the first game in the Tourney then should be against one of the 2 worst Big10 teams, to get to 20. Which probably gets them a 7-8 seed.

They have Wisconsin first. Final two games are at home against Wisconsin and Iowa.

BTW--today's win will be team's best of the season in terms of RPI

We play Wisconsin and Iowa, not Indiana. Wisc is near the bottom of the standings. Both games are home. Brilliant performance by Arella and the rest of the team played great D when they needed to

OMG!!!..........Another beautiful game! Two weekends in a row. I couldn't be more proud of this team. They have scrapped all year long. You get the effort every game. They did an excellent job of running them off the 3pt line in the second half. Arella was amazing, but don't get it twisted, this was a team win. The defense was..... as Vera and the other play-by-play guy said repeatedly,,,,,,,,,,,STIFLING!!!

Enjoy this team....win or lose....the rest of the way this season!
How long does CVS get?...........................................................
AS LONG AS SHE WANTS!!!:Rutgers:):ThumbsUp

RIGHT ! I forgot RU plays Wisconsin on Feb 27. Wisconsin tied for last in the Big10. THAT should be win #20, before finishing the regular season at the RAC vs Iowa.

Would love to have Minnesota and just one of the Michigan State games back. But if they can win out at home and grab a game in the BTT, things will look good.

Hadn't seen Ohio State play before this year. Had to go look at their roster.

That biiiig post is from Slovenia. That leading-scorer, looooong forward is from Hungry.
