it was like a 9 point lead with the ball..with like 2:50 left...that was simply absurd how that went down. That was not an easy shot by Tyler either, everyone knew she was taking shot and the clock was really winding down, she really had to dribble around two players to find some open clearance and it was still a tough shot....geez that 3 by Purdue was close..and they really got down quickly with just 4 seconds
TOs been the issue all end season. One player had 5 each of last 2 games prior to today. Always like end game stats. How many today?
talk on the radio that there was a possibility that Jenkins could have been called for goaltending on that 3...it would take a big set of balls to call that to win the game for Purdue but geez what was Jenkins thinking there,.she went up to the rim and it looked her fingers may have grazed the rim as the ball was meeting it

Oh my. My heart rate has not yet returned to normal just reading this game thread. Too familiar. I think there are multiple Scarlet Knights who have not grasped the critical concept that the other team is not going to just let RU win after gaining a substantial lead in the second half. It is like they can't recognize the other team can dig itself out of a hole like RU has had to do after many poor starts. But, as one of the winningest coaches has said, "Basketball is a game of runs." The problem is RU has been allowing the last run to go to the opponent the last third of the season.
I had to run out, but had the game on my phone. OMG! I couldn't believe the way they nearly coughed this game up. Whew! It's great they got their 20th win. Congrats. But if you're a winning team you play a full 40 minutes. You DON'T let Purdue back in the game with 2+ minutes left when you're up nine.

Just got back from being out of my office, and it was nice to see the win (and also nice to miss the drama!). On to the Buckeyes.
I'd like to see a rotation of players (primarily Nigia and perhaps utilizie Tekia) on Kelsey Mitchell tomorrow, face-guarding her all over the court in the same manner that RU did to slow down Katelynn Flaherty. And, please, cut down on the silly turnovers.
