RU vs Seton Hall 12/8/17 2PM Game Thread

SHU was 6-1 coming into the game. I don't know who they've been playing but they must be a decent team, which makes this blowout win even sweeter.

Back from the game with some comments:
- Fewer fans but a lot of energy
- Seton Hall coach is excellent, with a game plan that frustrated us on offense and broke our press on defense. CVS gave up on the 55 in the second half.
- To call Seton Hall's shooting pathetic would be insulting pathetic shooting. I would like to give the credit to our defense, but they threw up enough non-contested bricks to complete the addition next door.
- We know Tyler is the real deal, but Stasha also has all the tools. She can be as good as she wants.
- CC is perhaps the quickest guard I have seen since, dare I say, Matee? Even quicker than Sanders, if that is possible.
- I love this team. Could be the biggest turnaround ever.
- Wish the students would come out and support them
CC has 20% of all the team turn overs. Surprised that CVS accepts this carelessness?

All I want to say is this:

St Peters 91-49
Wake Forest 67-57
Princeton 83-85
Rider 85-49
Jacksonville 73-54
Marist 85-60
St Francis 84-50

Agree on Carey--she is still getting comfortable but the potential is sky high. I've actually been very impressed with Harris too and think with more opportunities in the post she can be very good.

It looked like they worked more on interior passing and backdoor. The passes were too sloppy which resulted in TOs, but there did seem to be a more conscious effort to get better shots.

Much better discipline too in only taking 8 three-pointers. It's very nice we made 5 of them, but that means the team was working more toward playing to our strengths.

Beyond the 20 turnovers, this was a very impressive win.

Fitz brought a lot of energy in the 4Q, including a nice entry pass that was converted by one of our bigs (can’t remember who).

My guess is that she loves the energy that CC brings, and is using the non-conference schedule to help her improve. She’s probably still working off some of the rust from sitting out last year.
