I did not watch the game live, I'll do that at some point.
Same opinion......depleted roster going against a team with 7' , 6'9" , 6'7 with 7'2" and 6'9" off the bench going against a team with two players over 6'4" with one of them being 6'9" Lewis with achy knees.
Best low post defender and rebounder is out in 6'11" Doorson, another 6'10" body is out, best low post offensive player in 6'8" Freeman is out. Another 6'6" player out with a concussion.
What did you expect against a team as big as Purdue?
Hopefully, next year Jordan will have his full roster to work with....a roster that can absorb injuries if they occur. I'll withhold judgment on recruiting until I see if Jordan, Shoes and Macon gets 6'9" shooter/defender in Issa Thiam, 6'7" banger Sam Green from DC, 6'8" Chuba Ohams from NY to go with 6'4" New Yorker Tripp. The last spot should go to the shooter with length that the staff has been targeting. Also, add in Nigel Johnson.
I'm convinced this team would be much more competitive with Freeman and Doorson down low with Diallo getting some minutes......but, injuries happen and sometimes they can ruin a season.
I think Most people understood that year 4 in this build was the year to be really competitive.
I don't think anyone here knows why Etou or Ryan Johnson transferred....not even all knowing crusader Bac.
