PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Oct. 20, 2017) – The Rutgers doubleheader scheduled for Nov. 4 versus Maryland at Yankee Stadium has been moved to High Point Solutions Stadium. The joint decision between Rutgers and the Yankees was necessary in order to allow a sufficient amount of time to logistically stage the events in Piscataway due to the Yankees’ current postseason run.

“We were looking forward to staging this historic event at Yankee Stadium,” Director of Athletics Pat Hobbs said. “With two weeks until the date, it was important for us to finalize details that help ensure our fans and our student-athletes have a one-of-a-kind experience. As a result of the Yankees’ amazing postseason run, there were operational concerns that called for us to make a decision at this time. It was agreed that moving the game to High Point Solutions Stadium was the best option under the circumstances. We value our continuing partnership with the New York Yankees and will be cheering them on this weekend and hopefully in the World Series.”

The Big Ten will announce the start time and television designation for the football game at a later date. The time for wrestling will be released shortly after.

TICKET AND PARKING INFORMATION
Rutgers season ticket holders will be allocated their same seat locations as with all other games at High Point Solutions Stadium. All season ticket holders will be contacted regarding further details.

Single-game ticket purchasers will receive comparable seat locations, while those interested in purchasing single game tickets will have the option effectively immediately by going online at www.scarletknights.com. Rutgers students can claim their tickets online through the same process used for games at High Point Solutions Stadium on Monday, Oct. 30.

Season parking pass holders will be allocated the same parking lot and number of spaces as other games at the stadium at no additional cost. Advanced single game parking for this game may be purchased online at www.scarletknights.com. Gameday cash parking lots can be found at the RAC (Livingston), the College Avenue Parking Deck, Lot 30 behind the College Avenue Gymnasium, and on the Biomedical and Health Sciences campus (formerly UMDNJ).

Tickets and parking passes will be shipped as of Friday, Oct. 27. All tickets for Yankee Stadium are now null and void. Tickets for High Point Solutions Stadium will be printed and distributed to the original purchaser.

This is great news. Instead of a couple thousand fans, you'll now have possibly 15,000 to 17,000. You can leave the match, tailgate, sleep whatever and come back for the game. Same as last time, instead of being held hostage by the Yankees for an hour and 1/2 with $12 beers and $8 hotdogs.

How did you come to the conclusion that you can leave after the wrestling match & return later for the football game? Last year there were different tickets sold for each event & that is not what will happen this year

I highly doubt they'll hold us hostage like the Yankees would. How did you come to the conclusion they will hold us hostage for an hour and 1/2 at least till kickoff? That'll go over well.

They didn't hold fans hostage at RU Stadium last year for the Princeton match.

Guessing that Robin Ficker is already on the phone with his NYC hotel bitching that he wants a full refund on his hotel reservation.

Do you think they can turn this around in an hour and a half? I hope so. $$$$

Well that was the plan at Crappee stadium. So they can probably do it here. Wrestling match concludes then kickoff an hour and 1/2 later.

All i know is my schedule bathroom break will be at the 149 pound weight class.
Just say no to Alfred Bannister

The football tickets will be a 2 scan ticket. Meaning you can leave between events.
If the football game is at noon the wrestling match will be sometime after the game. If the football game is 3:30 or later then the wrestling match will be before the game.
That info is from my ticket rap who is high up.

Very happy with that time for football. I would have hated a wrestling match after a noon football game.

The attendance would have been dismal if it were the other way around.

I'm going to guess that this year draws in the 8-10k range. I hope I'm wrong and I hope it's more!

I asked that question of 1 ticket guy and he did not know. Then I was talking to my former rep and he felt it would be the same a Princeton was.

I hope the weather is absolutely Horrible, so that we decide never to wrestle outside of the RAC again.

Man. Be careful what you wish for. Last year's weather would have me reluctant to ever do another outdoor match - horrific weather dodged by a few hours.
