Rutgers Athletics Now Accepting Applications for 2016 Fan Advisory Board

I would say anyone who goes to a lot of games and has the time to give should definitely apply. Not only because it is pretty prestigious as far as these types of things go, but because intelligent fans' feedback is really the only way for the U to assess the impact gameday policies and procedures have on the overall experience.

RU should do more of this type of thing. Every stroke of greatness starts with a simple idea. Ideas shared should be collected, vetted and developed on a regular basis. Especially when you are a historically hapless organization blessed with thousands of supporters who desperately want to help right the ship.

To paraphrase one Groucho Marx, I refuse to belong to any board that would have me as a member.

Seriously, this is a great initiative. Wish I had the time to participate.

Just saw they tweeted out the app link and signed up. If you have the time and questions/issues/concerns with the program, this is the way to be heard!

I missed the deadline last time but will try to sign up soon

I actually think its an awful idea to have the signups and deadlines around the holidays....they should do this in January when more people are focused on this. People aren't paying attention now

Get in there, BAC.
We need you to bring some positive energy and solutions to the meetings.

step one.. get rid of a fan advisory board.. it's a waste of time.. step two.. get rid of the insane amount of cops/police presence(really do you need watch towers and atvs?) and tell the ones you do keep to not be total assholes.. step three.. get a better food vendor and lower prices(tickets included)

problem solved

I wasn't a member last year so, before I "SMH" about your "prestigious" comment, I'll ask:

- what, exactly, makes it "prestigious"?

Thanks.

If that's step 2, step 1 better be invent a time machine and go back to pre 9/11 because police presence is only going to grow. Can't argue that they should be nicer. I'll take yours and others word for that as I've never had an issue.

If I thought they'd implement my brilliant idea for improvement (free hookers and blow to everybody who gets in the stadium before the players come out of the tunnel), then I'd apply to be an adviser. But with all this PC, anti-fun stuff these days (no drunk driving, no spanking kids, no beating the wife in an elevator on video), I'm pretty sure my idea would get shot down.

[Edit] And also, KingHigh said only intelligent fans should apply. Which pretty much rules me out anyway.

wanna know I think they are assholes?... telling me I can't go get a blackout shirt when its 20 ft away and insisting I head right to the stadium
