The Rutgers Scarlet Knights landed their first transfer in the Transfer Portal in right-handed pitcher Drew Conover. The 6'5" 190-pound right-hander spent the last two seasons at Seton hall before putting his name in the portal. Conover is a Rutgers legacy as his dad played at RU and signed professionally with the Chicago White Sox. His mother was also a Rutgers alum as she ran track and cross country at RU. During his final season at Seton Hall, Conover made 18 appearances and one start. He posted a 2-2 record with a 5.73 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and a 11.7 K/9. He had an excellent end to his season as you can see in the tweet below. Drew Conover will spend his summer playing for the Harwich Mariners in the Cape Cod Summer League and has two more season of eligibility at RU.
