Winners of three of the last four weekend series, Rutgers baseball hosts Iowa for a four-game set at Bainton Field beginning Friday. The Scarlet Knights are up to 11 wins, the most for the program in a Big Ten season since joining the conference.

The first end of the Saturday doubleheader is a seven-inning game, followed by a 40-minute break and a nine-inning nightcap. RU last played a four-game series at home in 1992, an Atlantic 10 weekend versus Temple.

Our bullpen is a problem BUT both teams scored double digit runs for a reason today. The home plate umpire had a strike zone the size of a postage stamp. The pitchers for both teams basically had to throw the ball right down the middle. Both teams started their ace and the score was 6-6 after five innings. The guy was a joke

Where are my favorites RU80 ... knight82 what happened today? Another umpire issue.. pitch timer was not fair ? We have a B1G issue closing teams out. I ‘m a great fan of Rutgers in all things: academics, sports and contributions to the community. Just a terrible loss .

I have yet to hear anyone who thought Litterio was recruiting close to a Big Ten level. Need to build Division 1 facilities as soon as possible. If I was a good player and saw our “stadium” I would think that was the practice field.

There is ZERO excuse for losing 3-straight to Iowa the way we have this weekend.

If I recall correctly, he said he was putting you on Ignore. Which makes a lot of sense. For my part, I’m not foolish enough to dispute anyone’s specific observations on a game that I did not watch.

So you think yesterday's double loss was on the umpire or was it on finding a CLOSER ? That's typical with the younger and some older fans who automatically fail to understand there are different points of view and it does not mean I'm anti Rutgers .Yesterday was exactly what I said " closing" . I believe Owens said that exact thing post game .

You are not even astute enough to be able to read and comprehend what I said about the first game, let alone infer what I might’ve said about games two and three. Just quit.

Losses or not, it would have been nice to at least have the option of being able to see a Rutgers Baseball doubleheader. We are running out of home games this season to attend if RU doesn’t start letting the general public fan in at Bainton.

Getting swept is disappointing ... closing out games is something we don’t do well in most sports

Can I infer you are biased? The one and ONLY point is the team has no closer . We have lost perhaps 7 games where the leads dissipated in the last 2 innings that is all I have an issue with . The umpire issue must have carried over to games 2+3 with your logic.
