Why is the spread so low for Kansas BYU game?
Kansas won the game on the road 17-13 against BYU. Stopped them inside the 10 as BYU was driving to take the lead.

Like I said Kansas had 6 losses but all by a score or less and finally they were able to snag one. BYU had been a little like Miami continually escaping until it finally got them.

Kansas next week could be a tricky game for Colorado too. It’s at Arrowhead as well.

B12 race just got tighter with more possibilities. BYU and Colorado tied for first each with 1 loss and ASU and ISU right behind with 2 losses. ASU plays BYU as well. Some of the P4 might have to go deep into the tiebreaker bag.

Saw that. Good on Kansas. Maybe this is not fair, but could not see any top ACC or B12 team competing in the B1G.

Maybe but who could see IU having the year it's having. You never know.

It's somewhat apples and oranges too. They don't get the same resources teams in the B10 or SEC get so it's hard to compare. But they largely compete against teams with the same resources so they have opportunities to have good and/or big accomplishments which is something I always bring up when people make fun of the B12 or ACC. In the end, that's what it's about not money. Money is just a means to an end.

A lot more possible these days than in the past. Often see complaints about the game changing etc..but all I see is a little more parity, a lot more opportunity and many more things we've never seen or haven't seen in a long time which makes CFB more fun.

Is resources a code word for FIELDHOUSE? 😜

In our conference, excluding the new West Coast teams, this is no more evident than at the top of the standings. Instead of OSU, Michigan, and PSU, swap out IU for Michigan. It cannot be denied that Michigan has significantly more resources and the opportunities/accomplishments derived from them, than IU. Everyone over there (at IU) had a plan and the results are impressive. Michigan chose to live off their name and brand, and that's just not going to cut it anymore.

It is somewhat realistic Boise could get a bye. They’re in front of Colorado and BYU will drop now and Clemson if they won the ACC is quite a bit behind them too.

Saw this in an article didn’t realize. Been a down season with all close losses but nice accomplishment. 8-2 ISU fell out of the rankings but could find their way back in.

A win over Colorado would make it 3 in a row over ranked teams.

From the article:

With the win over BYU, Kansas has now earned ranked victories in consecutive weeks for the first time in program history, having vanquished No. 17 Iowa State just seven days ago.

After a painful defeat at the hands of fellow underachiever USC on Saturday, the Huskers have now lost nine consecutive games with a chance to become bowl-eligible, with eight of those losses coming in one-score games. They reached the five-win plateau way back on Oct. 5. Bringing in new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen didn’t fix what ails the Husker offense, either, failing to total 325 yards or more on offense for the fifth straight game (with freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola throwing a pair of interceptions.) The Huskers are now 9-34 in one-possession games since 2018; that .214 win percentage in those games is easily the worst in FBS over that span. I am sorry, Nebraska fans.

9. Indiana and Colorado have been great turnaround stories. But so has Arizona State.

The Sun Devils went 3-9 a year ago, a lost season of sorts for a program trying to crawl out from under inherited NCAA sanctions. Kenny Dillingham had to fix a mess, and nobody really thought it could be cleaned up in just one year. Arizona State was picked to finish dead-last in the Big 12 in the league’s preseason poll, and here the Sun Devils are, third in the conference standings with just two games to play (against BYU and Arizona). Quarterback Sam Leavitt threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns in the Sun Devils’ win over No. 16 Kansas State on Saturday. Running back Cam Skattebo returned from injury and contributed 73 rushing yards — he’s over 1,000 on the season — in the win. You could see afterward how much this one meant to Dillingham. He is just 34 years old and has been considered a rising star in the profession for years. Sure seems like he’s arrived now.

Notre Dame has not exactly faced a murderer's row of offenses, have they?
No Miami and no Syracuse on their schedule, the two strongest offensive teams in "their" conference.

That was my thought when I saw those stats. Louisville is probably the best offense they played. GT didn’t have their starting qb when they played them either.

I don't get FAU
Did well under Kiffin, then back down to sucking

Beautiful campus
Decent facilities
Florida recruiting

A blind squirrel should be able to win at that place w/the schedule they play

Louisville losing to Stanford is comical. Jeff Brohm having a rough year in year 2 after a solid year 1. Did the boneheads at Louisville give him a giant raise and extension after year 1? Yep, he gets an extension and 100% guaranteed unless terminated for cause.

Indiana HC Curt Cignetti agrees to 8 year contract renewal at $8 million per year plus an additional $1 million per year retention bonus.

College teams need to have $9 million per year coaches to compete with other high income winning coaches.

LOL

Millions for Coaches and Staff and millions for NIL.

The evolution of college football from the days of student athlete.

College HC salaries now exceed many NFL HC salaries. TOP NFL HC can command salaries of $16 million per year.

At what point will the public/fans/college administration finally say enough is enough.

Steelers vs Ravens game on, time to watch Pro Football.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Did you see how they lost? Tie game. L'ville tried to get in FG range at the end of the 4th. Stopped on 4th down with 1 second left at the Stanford 45. Unsportsmanlike after the play. 15 to the Louisville 40 Unabated to the kicker off sides. Ball to the Louisville 35. Stanford kicks a 53 yard FG to win. You better believe Brohm is having a rough year.

Yeah, it was crazy.
Stanford's only other P5 and conference win is against Syracuse--not as crazy, but they won on a field goal as time expired.
