OT: NCAA College Football Games Thread (Championship Weekend) 12/6-12/7 Fri-Sat

Use the same system they have now for the first round. Then for the 2nd round, the #1 seed gets to name their opponent of any of the four round one winners. Call that out on LIVE TV, held on the Sunday after the 1st round ends.

Oregon AD - who will you be playing in round 2? "We'll be facing Clemson."

Georgia AD - we will take Penn State.

Boise State AD - We challenge Notre Dame.

Arizona State, you get the last team - Ohio State.
Points for creativity lol

The first four CFP seeds will net $8 million for their leagues by virtue of the first-round bye — $4 million for making the field and another $4 million for (automatically) advancing to the quarterfinals.
Mentioned in the other thread that’ll be going away after the next two years. It’ll be distributed by percentage to each conference.

From a competition standpoint realignment messed up the format by concentrating strong teams in 2 conferences instead of them being spread over a bunch. If Oregon, UGA, Texas and PSU were the top 4 seeds no one would say easy path for the 5 seed.

From a financial standpoint I don’t know the specifics or details but someone here said the hosting schools don’t actually get to keep too much of the revenue generated from these playoff games. I think he said it goes to the CFP or something. I don’t know if that’s true or not.
The schools hosting are getting their base price for tickets and the CFP group will add on their cost to the face value of the ticket prices. This is what the MLB, NFL, NHL and NBA does. None of the parking is going to Playoff pool as in many cases it's a mix of school property and private lots. I haven't heard about concessions but MLB, NFL etc. do not get any of concessions money.
The next round is different as they are neutral sites.

Did a quick search and found the post. It was from @PSU_Nut

Can’t speak to the veracity just took his word for it.

This is the post:

The ticket revenue all goes to the CFP. The CFP actually set the prices for tickets. (Students $25, Regular tickets were $100-$250) The hosting school only gets parking and concessions revenue. After you factor in all the expenses I don’t think it will be a huge windfall for the hosting schools.

Who believes PSU Nut? First off it costs a ton of school paid people to host a game. People on ESPN and Fox are saying the same thing. Season ticket holders have first shot.
In the Notre Dame game only 3,500 were allotted to Indiana. Same rules for regular season.

That is what the media has reported.
