This is what proves whether or not we can claim arrival after years of frustration . Got to win the next 2 …12 B1G games left regular season need to go no worse than 7-5 . The games against non conference are secondary but still important.

We still are a good team but Illinois , Iowa, Maryland etc. just good as if not better. Cimillo being injured does not help however there still is a separation which exists .I said last week the next 5-6 series of games would tell us a great deal . Needed to win 7-8 of the next 15 starting with Iowa. A little disappointing but we are getting there under Owens. Pitching is always the key in these conference games. The need is to recruit and keep some of New Jersey’s top pitchers which we still haven’t done for awhile . Where’s our Bobby Brownlie type? Bats going completely silent is fact of life. Good to great pitching beats hitting every time.

This Rutgers team is a good one. That said you gotta win tomorrow boys … it is imperative just for the visual if nothing else.

Iowa is a good team. Rutgers just needs to regroup. Would rather have a losing streak now than at end of season. Ample time to course correct.

We lost our 4th hitter in the heart of line up, ran into some quality pitching and a collective team wide hitting slump is the result.
Kicking and throwing the ball around defensively happens when you can’t get going offensively….funny how that happens in baseball, tough stretches happen in baseball.
