Rutgers Baseball vs Purdue on Thursday 2pm

Fact: RU pitching has given up 97 runs over the final 12 B1G games of the season. 8.00 era
Hardly the 2nd best in the B1G. The powder cupcake out of conference opponents early in the season are meaningless.
FACT

2nd and 3rd, 0 outs…0 runs
1st and 2nd, 0 outs….runs

…Mr Freakin’ Brightside over there lol!

Purdue manager let their pitcher hang him self. Should have pulled him when he walked the bases full

These announcers are pretty good and make nice comments about RU. May change tomorrow since one of them is a PS graduate.

My son is at his training session with Rutgers legend Mike Bionde right now. I hope Mike isn't checking the score during the lesson!

Even when RU broke it open it was a bit of a hard watch. A lot of walks a bad fielding play by the pitcher and continued fake throws by the pitcher. I thought they had a pitch clock?

I was wondering how college teams handle these tournaments with their pitching staffs. I guess you have to win the one you're playing but you can't burn through everyone.

Purdue has stolen like 116 bases this year. Apparently their pitching staff thought they were playing an "black on gold" scrimmage BECAUSE the # of look-backs and pick-off attempts were beyond uncalled for in this game.

if RU and Maryland get to finals undefeated, is it still a double loss situation??
I've been staring at the bracket for like half an hour and not quite sure I understand it yet lol. I would assume that if one team has a loss and the other doesn't, the team with a loss would need to win 2, but there's no "if necessary" game after game 15 so....shrug

5 runs in the 7 th and only 1 ball left the infield. Sounds like my little league days. Purdue had plenty of scoring chances but RU pitchers were better in the clutch.

Hope Cimillo can find his stroke. One good game out of last 4. Cost him the league batting crown. Looked uncomfortable at bat, but did manage two walks.

Beat PSU 6-4 and 20-6 and lost 6-8 during regular season. Pitching duel is unlikely.

The winners of the two brackets play a single game for the title.

I think the announcer said that over 300 pitches were thrown in the game this afternoon. Seems like a huge number.
