We’re really doing this before Memorial Day weekend? Sports is so f’d up now. Have a hot dog and watch some baseball.
Ohio has won double digit games three years in a row.
I think we will win this by a reasonable margin, but they are a step up from of our recent OOC opponents like Southeast Jabroni Community College.

It's far from the truth. Here's a podcast from an Ohio beat writer detailing what to expect from the team this year. They think they will beat one of the Power teams (Ohio State, Rutgers, or WVU) and be in position to win the Mac again. Based on what the team has coming back, they should stick to winning the MAC because they seemed outclassed and inexperienced in many areas.

I know it’s naive, but aren’t we easily past the “sweating a game Ohio” stage?
Obviously we could lose - anything could happen.
But it should be a huge upset.
Agree...last year we had fans "worried" about Akron. I am not going to stress about Ohio...But, I will want Schiano's head to roll if he loses to them.
If you listen to enough of the stories on that Craig Carton gambling show, that will cure you quick or prevent you from going down that road in the first place.
Ohio and Toledo are the 2 best MAC teams. In the B1G they would rank at the bottom near Purdue.
If we have to sweat Ohio at home then we are in for a long season.
Come out of Summer Camp healthy and win by 21+ points vs. Ohio.
I had an owner of a really successful company I was at in the early 2000's that easily wagered at least $3 mil a year on sports. And that didn't include his non sports gambling at Vegas and AC.
Brought our entire sales team of 8 plus 4 clients to Vegas one year for 4 days. Had two suites and 2 rooms comped as well as liquer bar in each room. Every once in a while he would get a call to the room to remind him he had not met his daily commitment yet. lol
I'm not really loving that we have the Mac champion and the Mac runner-up to open our schedule. I'd much rather be playing mid-tier power 5 teams
You'll have a different opinion WHEN you read about both teams for the 2025 season. G5 schools can't reload like some Power 5 schools. Both schools lost a lot. Enough to impact their ability to flat out go toe to toe like last year. Check out the video I've linked above in this thread.
I looked at their roster, at the teams they beat last year (they gave Cuse a game) and looked at their quarterback's stats. No in depth analysis. I think we win by double digits but they appear to be a good team in their conference. You can bet they will have our game circled, they think they can beat us.
You mean like Kent State? The other team on our schedule next season lost at Minny 13-6.

I think you are referring to Rhodes and it appears he hasn’t cracked their 2 deep either as of now.
Ohio lost a ton of talent including their stud RB. Their HC left for Charlotte before the Bowl Game. The starting QB had off season surgery and missed the Spring game. He is a run first QB.
Their defense lost the majority of their starters. ( 6 of 7 DL and their 2 starting LB’s. graduated). And the HC took the next 3 LB’s to Charlotte. And we got their leading Sack leader Weaver in the Portal and he was their second leading DE in tackles.

As I posted he ( their QB) didn't play in their Spring Game. Minor surgery and he is expected to be a Full go in August.
How do you know Rhodes isn’t cracking the 2 deep there? He just committed on 5/6. Has only been on campus there for 2 weeks - if that.
Just going off the ‘Our Lads “ 2 Deep of this week.
Let’s see if this changes next month.
