That should-have-been interception was also an accurate throw. Only problem was a defender was between it and the receiver. From Rettig's reaction he realized it and maybe learned from it.

Doesn't mean anything against the Norfolk States of the world. As bad a QB as Nova was against any team with a pulse, he could look like an all-American against really bad teams (the good Nova)

Funny but that wasn't the case for Gary...I liked Nova but he did not look lights out either many times against lesser competition

I realize Nova also had really bad games against bad teams, but he did have some good games when the completion was very soft

Two good QBs.. and as I had hoped, so far both look better than the last guy that Flood loved too much. The offense is set.

Nova was inaccurate. If a baseball pitcher you'd call him "wild in the strike zone". And he did not stand and deliver under pressure... taking hits after making throws. Thowing the ball away to avoid a sack is fine.. but hurrying passes and taking his eyes off the receivers when he could have hung in another second to allow a route to come open.. that is unforgivable in a football player.

Both of the new QBs do better on these counts.

This is best pair of rookie QBs has had in a long time. SL is all over Flood for playing both. I think it is great to give both game experience. RU can not put all it eggs in one basket. OSU need 3-4 QBs to keep their championship season alive.
