Rutgers-PSU game thread

Better gig, Executive Director of Mercer County parks or Head coach of this team? Bring back Bannon!
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Another coach with talent but with cottage cheese for a brain when it came to common sense off the court. Bring in a real coach like Sendek and let's move forward.

Only kidding around my friend lol.

Not if we bring in someone like Sendek. And I have a feeling you were being sarcastic, because Corey might transfer if EJ gets another year.

All sarcasm , we have learned what hiring/keeping a subpar coach to save a class(or player) will do.

I think Eddie's gone. Didn't think that a couple weeks ago even with the losses continuing to pile up. But it ain't gonna happen with EJ. In Hobbs we trust.

When Batie plays 12 or 14 minutes I know they are not going to win. If we have the money, but I don't want a coach from Robert Morris or Manhattan or Coastal Carolina. Need someone who has won. Just tired of negativity and Laurent shows me something. Needs to make more foul shots.

To save a team that key contributors are either hurt (with no guarantee of recovery) suspended or both. Putting your faith that they will all return, stay out of trouble, and be any good besides is too much of a stretch. Get a real college coach and begin again.

Pat Hobbs has no ties to Jordan - let him restart again with his guy

Just saw the highlight of the PSU alley-oop. Louisville doing that to us is one thing, but these guys?

Don't think anyone should be complaining about anything that happened or didn't happen today -- the 6 kids played at pretty much the limit of their mental and physical ability and the staff coached at its usual level. They are what they are and nothing is going to change that. And ditto for Dadika, Batie and Jus-tin (clap-clap ... clap-clap-clap) Goo-oode.

On to Little Ricky & His Golden Gophers.

78, have no problem with effort. Lewis and 4 point play, need to show basketball IQ. And also with sloppy passes.

Remember, Justin Goode is on scholarship. He's not Dakia and Batie

Again ruman, if you remember Douby according to Jarvis was not good enough for St.John's. Coaches make mistakes.

We got pounded on the boards and were terrible from 3. Same old song & dance.

Ruman -- that's why Goo-oode got the applause. On scholly and passed by two walk-ons. Goo-oode is what happens when a staff offers a kid before it ever watched him play in a game. The staff went to Hargraves to watch Kejuan Johnson practice and saw Goo-oode shooting and offered him. That's not a mistake, that's incompetence.

“It definitely will,” Goode said Sunday night. “I don’t think many people believe, some not even any level of Division I much less a high major program. I’m going to have to prove some more people wrong again, I guess.”

Goode said Rutgers offered him a scholarship without seeing him play a live game. “They came down and watched a practice, then they came down again and watched another practice and made the offer,” he said.

that's very damning of this staff if true...and remember they whiffed on Kejuan and Ryan Johnons...so when the shills bring up injuries as an excuse this year...its very easy to counter with these 3 scholorships that are killing us along with the Etou transfer. Its speaks to roster and program management. Its been an issue all 3 years, I don't think it magically goes away

Unreal.

Why so much negativity with the amount of minutes Batie played ? He brought scrappiness to the team and played solid , I believe Goode or Dadika couldn't of did any better

Is that true re: Goode?

Yes it is true regarding Goode. He was a late signee from Hargrave Military Academy where he actually left early from, and enrolled at RU for Second semester 2015, guessing because he was not playing much there. In high school he scored and shot a lot, also had the ball in his hands a lot, but was no different than any quality NJ HS player That goes on to a D3 school. Can't blame him for trying to go to a prep school and taking the best offer that came his way, I mean I think I'd take the schollie at RU over Radford U too
