Rutgers Staff at OSU Today

Probably the first time we beat them. So could be a while lol.

...this... Urban certainly wants his coaching tree to bloom. In a decade or so when he's sitting home watching instead of coaching football, I'm sure the mention of his name will rub his ego nicely. Sign me up for a decade long alliance with OSU.

I wouldn't call it crumbs.

There are some very good 4 star players in Ohio that do not have and probably won't get tOSU offers this year because we have limited spots this year and are in the running for so many top 100 players.

Looking like a lot of good Ohio talent will be going elsewhere this year.
In other words, tOSU's crumbs. Big, solid, desirable crumbs.

Exactly. Ohio isn't like Pizza crumbs. It's crumb cake extraordinaire. I was surprised Ash wasn't able to pick up a few second or third tier players last year. That's what schools like Cincy have been loading up on for years.

Absolutely agree.

Narduzzi did well recruiting in Ohio last year.

The fact that the state has only one P5 school and Pitt is only 60 miles away is a plus.

Also, a plus that Narduzzi's is a Youngstown Ohio guy who recruited the state while at MSU.

George Hill, Rivals 4-Star, Hubbard Ohio
Ruben Flowers, Rivals 4-Star, Lima Ohio
Bryce Hargrove, Rivals 3-Star, Akron Ohio
Chawntez Moss, Rivals 3-Star,Bedford Ohio
Thomas MacVittie, Rivals 3-Star,Cincinnati Ohio.

Looking forward to another good recruiting year for Pitt this year in Ohio.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Looking forward to Rutgers being able to scoop us in Ohio recruiting.

LOL!!!!

We welcome the competition in Ohio.

Ohio is truly a good recruiting state and as Buck stated OSU recruits on a National Level leaving many recruiting opportunities for others.

Hope we can also get a couple out of New Jersey this year.

Is ash close with any of these kids from his OSU days? I was hoping he would have built a connection with one or two defensive studs from the 2017 class while recruiting them at OSU

It was only a few years ago that people where criticizing Urban's recruiting tactics. In the end, he and Harbaugh have forced everyone in the B1G to up their games. And that is a good thing for RU.

The Big Ten coaches got fat and lazy. This is good for everyone in the conference.

It's also good for Rutgers to be involved and get as much access to some of these guys as possible. There's a lot of talent in Ohio that should be staying in the B1G and not heading to the ACC or SEC.

This is a good relationship right now. Since Ohio St is one of the top 5 elite programs they pretty much get recruits that are high 4 star or 5 star. The other good talent that may need a year or 2 to bloom can do well at Rutgers. If Meyer talks highly of Ash and Rutgers they may choose us over schools like Purdue, Indiana, Iowa, Syracuse, Louisville, or other schools that are a step below Ohio St.

Of course, once we get to the level of Mich St, Michigan, or Penn St where we are a threat then it will get more competitive for the top recruits.

Well, I started the crumb talk, so I will propose that we officially call Urban Meyer our CrumbDaddy or our AshBuddy. You guys make the call.
