Rutgers has a long way to go to be competitive in the Big Ten championships. For example, A'Nan Bridgett tied the Rutgers record in the 60 meters preliminary round and did not qualify for the finals. Billy Hill ran I think the second fastest indoor mile in Rutgers history (He set the record last year) and did not qualify for the finals. Adam Hunt may have had the 2nd longest through in Rutgers history in the weight throw but did not make the finals. The Rutgers men scored in only 3 events and only 1 on the track. The women were a bit better scoring in 6 events including 2 with new freshmen school record holders in the mile and pole vault.
