Didn’t start playing til they were down 20....too much reading their own press. Hate losing to that morally corrupt school
We were down 18 at half time and were completely lifeless. They lost by 1 point on a missed layup. The team is getting close.
Need to slam that. Soft lay in? Big lesson for him going into next year. That play will be on loop in his head.
We just couldn't make the one play at the end. Johnson should' ve tried to lay it in instead of passing it out. Maybe would have gotten fouled, but the FTs would be iffy at best.
Everything should have been towards the rim there. The inexperience showed on that possession.

Yep, you could really see it in his face after the game....he knew he should have gone up stronger.
The goal for Myles this off-season is to work on his explosiveness.
He got nervous because it wasn’t a clean catch around the defender and didn’t want to turn the ball over. Caleb should’ve gone up strong to the rim and gotten a foul at worst.
Rutgers comes back from 20 down with no scoring from Baker. You gotta love the fight in this team.

I love Geo, but tonight, he sucked. There's no other way to describe it. He had at least 6 uncontested shots and missed all of them. Still, we should have won the game if Johnson, who was guarded by no one, dunked the damn ball with time running out. I don't know why for the life of me he felt compelled to throw it out. We're down 1 effin' point. Just dunk the damn ball there and we win by one. $hit!!!!!!
Wanted them to take a time out but I think Pike wanted to use the momentum we had off the steal and let them make a basket in the final seconds
This game was going to be an instant classic. Played for years to come. How can I go back and watch the second half knowing the outcome. Why why why

I agree. I know PIke thought we had the momentum there. But I think he blew it. I think he should have taken the TO and set up a shot that if we don't make it, they foul us.

We were down by 18 at half time is the first problem.... its not some kind of accolade that after getting the crap kicked out of us at home to a team we've already beaten ( I know they are "hot", so are we), we only lost by 1 point, with ample opportunity to have won.
And the moral of the story is....if you give even half that effort in the first half you win easy.
