as I just told the other guy, this is protocal in college hoops if the offense is running a play on the other end
ive been watching college hoops for years and the far majority of time, play is not stopped if the ball has advanced into the other side of the court..have I seen it stopped yes, but most of the time not...its really not a big deal like some are making it out to be...the ref bashing on the board is so over the top all year long
I saw him brick a hook shot and try to finger roll a sure dunk which rolled of the back board. He looks very unconfident with the ball in his hands but then again he hasn't really played a whole lot.I don't know if he's awful. I haven't seen him get the ball down low enough. He may have a low post move, but he's busy setting high screens.
I think Wisconsin is the new duke basketball for teams I hate most in the country
I remember plenty of game at THE RAC, when officials stopped play in a case as such, if it wasn't a breakaway/imminent scoring opportunity, in the past.
"protocol" or subjective? I know - without question - I've lost my marbles when other teams have had the same thing happen, against us at THE RAC, and we lost out on great scoring opportunities because play was stopped.
And the 19-point spread gets busted on a complete unnecessary foul with 4-seconds to go lol!
Very little scoring from the front court will be a on going concern against B1G competition. It's going to be tough to beat Penn State without Sanders.
maybe subjective not protocol, I have seen it stopped but most of the time its not, not when the other team is on offense. the ball had been advanced once the dust settled and Sanders was still down, the refs can not immediately stop everytime a player is down because not all the time the guy is really hurt.

You may be right. There's no reason he can't get a couple of dunks on guard penetration or a couple of putbacks on offensive rebounds. If he can give me solid D, 6 points, and 6 rebounds a game, I'd start him. With his athleticism, he has the ability to develop into a good big over the next couple of seasons.I saw him brick a hook shot and try to finger roll a sure dunk which rolled of the back board. He looks very unconfident with the ball in his hands but then again he hasn't really played a whole lot.
Really?
And who would you have played instead?
I disagree. Corey needed to be sent a message. He needs to realize he is not that good, he cannot be selfish like that.
I love him as a player and think he has potential to be really good, but he's not there yet. He needs to grow up- I wouldn't have even played him in the first half
all 3 Big 10 games so far today were blowouts
Corey from the start or first sub, and if not, not at all. Why wait 10 minutes and give the game away?
I'm ok with that if you bench him for the game. 10 minute penalty does no good for anyone.
Blowout? Pike spotted them 9 points before bringing Corey in, and when Corey broke his ankle, it was an 11 point game with RU previously cutting the lead to 9.
Rutgers was -2 or close to it from Corey's start to finish.
Again, Pike gave the game up from the get go, and get Rutgers was within 9 under 8 minutes left. Then they go on a 11(?) point advantage after Corey's ankle and our season went down the drain.
did you think RU was going to win the game...no, likely it still would have been in double digits...this wasnt a game where the outcome was ever in doubt..do you think it ever was. Just because it was 9 points doesnt mean it was competitive. Look I love the battle and fight but....
and why do you keep the nonsense up about Dadika playing instead of Corey....too bad, discipline and messages have to be sent, the outcome wouldnt have changed if Sanders started believe me
What on earth are you talking about???
Go back and watch the replay. Happened directly under their basket right in front of the ref...before any advancing of the ball. And pike was shouting at the ref to stop the play
Ref should have stopped the play immediately.

Corey gave the game away in your scenario. Coaches make rules. The players know them and the consequences.
That's a broken ankle.
