Redshirt sophomore, two years to go. She's been our best scorer in the games I've been able to watch. Despite missing some FT tonight, she came into tonight at 84% from the stripe on the year.I like this #24
How many years left to play?
Some RU fans don't feel that way. But you are so right .Coach Stringer is a CLASS ACT. Iowa was lucky to have and Rutgers should feel the same way they STILL HAVE her.

yes specifically without the PG Cryor, although no one wants to discuss it on the womens board
it was discussed along with discussions about some who seem to show up more after losses than wins.
Traffic isn't as heavy there as here, but issues are discussed and then moved on from.
you brought it up and few replies, but I replied and don't remember if you continued.meh not really...there is almost like no discussion there at all on players and lineup...like zero about Cryor
You can have her back.
Actually they are better off without the 3 of them, (that's including Stringer)
Bac2the always has a lot to say even when jumping the gun and shitting on RU players and the program. It must be all those nj.com stories that later on prove to be inaccurate. I wouldn't mind if he just stuck to the after bball game write ups.Damn @bac2therac. I can't believe you liked this. It's one thing to not like Stringer or feel like she should retire. It's something totally different to express it this way. What a complete lack of respect for the most accomplished coach RU has ever seen.
I admit there have been times when I've wondered if her time has come and gone, yet here we are, over 20 wins and poised to go to yet another NCAA tourney.
She is the most accomplished coach in Rutgers history. Yet some (vocal minority) dislike her for reasons not related to basketball.Classless bullsh*t. You wish you were as accomplished as she.
Those folks must be ‘race’ing to minor(ity) reasons. She is the most accomplished coach in Rutgers history. Yet some (vocal minority) dislike her for reasons not related to basketball.

Super stretch and just off. But of course that's the first defense. I totally respect CVS but within all she does great (and there's a lot) think there are plenty of coaching opportunities for improvement. Loving what I am seeing from Eatman right now but that's gonna be hard for some of you to pull the race card on cause guess what. He's black.
OK, play card #2. Sexism.
Look, I'm sure that's not how everyone looks at stuff but I really dislike when defenders go there so easily.
I think the primary driver for the folks who try to push CVS out is money. They think that they can get the same results "on the cheap" - both in X's and O's and recruiting. That's asinine, but whatever - she's an easy target because she has the third highest paycheck in the athletic department.
Note, these same people will likely whine 5 years after CVS is gone if we aren't maintaining the same level of success with another coach.
Name a better coach at Rutgers. Ever. No one is perfect but the her critics don’t like her personally so they nitpick her flaws.Super stretch and just off. But of course that's the first defense. depends on the criteria. Her results are at the top.Name a better coach at Rutgers. Ever. No one is perfect but the her critics don’t like her personally so they nitpick her flaws.

Why?
depends on the criteria. Her results are at the top.
yeah, I get that. My "issues" (concerns/criticism) aren't about that. There all (mostly) all X & O related. Could give a rats A$$ about race and sex.
Aren’t results the only thing that matters? Assuming there are no off court issues...depends on the criteria. Her results are at the top.

Well, the X's and O's (and recruiting) have led to a 499-275 (.645) record at RU, with 15 NCAA appearances and 2 NIT appearances in 23 seasons (and 16th NCAA trip expected this season)... including 8 trips to the Sweet 16, 5 to the Elite Eight, 2 to the Final Four, and 1 to the Finals (and a WNIT championship).
I think the X's and O's have been serving us pretty well, too.
Well when you recruit like she does it begs the question talent vs. Coaching. You know we did have a team that started 5 WNBA players including somebody named Cappy.
I don't know the numbers..you do so give me the last 6 to 8 years...your call.
Please include overall numbers vs, uconn, Tenn, nd, and any other perceived blue blood schools.
You'll never get me to trash her career. But you also have to get more recent since we're not playing in the past.
Like I said, show us the recent numbers and make your case . What has Rutgers women's basketball accomplished recently. And I'm not taking about putting players in the WNBA. Or how Crappy our other sports have been. I know they have been. We used to be in the same group of ND, UCONN, and the Ville. Are We now and have we been ?
I know it sounds like I have an agenda. Nope. Just love hearing other perspective.
You're the one who has "issues" her, so I'd say the onus is on you to say what is wrong with her X's and O's. But now you're pivoting to records instead of X's and O's.... including records against UConn, who has averaged fewer than 2 losses to *anyone* over the last 10 seasons (including 4 perfect records).
So, specifically, how are her X's and O's are somehow subpar, to the extent that we'd be better served with someone else?
What criminals? Charges completely dropped against the (1) player who had trouble. CC left for bad attitude and with coaches blessing will transfer. Not quite the same as conspiring to steal thousands of dollars from fellow students who already pay for those kids’ tuition in their student feesIf Ash and Flood bring in criminals, they get blasted here. When Stringer brings them in, she gets a pass, because she has a winning record?
Haha...I pivoted there? No, you did. Ok if you want to avoid the answer.
I didn't say wed be better served with somebody else. I asked you a question.
Are they an NCAA tournament team?
Okay, so let's set aside your "issues" with her X's and O's, since you don't want to actually address any of them. Guess that's not your issue with her, after all, since you can't seem to muster anything in support of that argument.
Your follow up questions seem care about results - which is a totally different conversation.
So, let's look at results - in the last 8 seasons, we've made the postseason 5 times with 3 NCAA bids and a WNIT championship. There was one down season in 2016-17 where the team went 9-26, and the other 7 we went 148-72 (.673).
What bar does a coach need to clear to avoid your criticism from a results perspective? Where does Stringer/RU fall short of your expectation? You mention records against blue-blood "perennial Elite Eight" teams... is that your expectation, that RU is in the Elite Eight every year, or they're somehow missing the mark? That RU needs to be mentioned in the same breath as UConn and Geno Auriemma (the equivalent of the men's team needing to be mentioned in the same breath as UCLA under Wooden)?
Was the problem the 2016-17 season? We've gone 42-20 since then.
Please elaborate on your criticisms - because your questions don't actually take a position or make an argument.
Oh stop. Yes you do. Read my last reply lol.EDIT: Actually, I don't really care enough about your issues to argue this point. Going to wise up and stop feeding.
