City of Oaks Collegiate is hosted by NC State at their Lonnie Poole GC. The Par 72, 6,325 course is the only college course designed by Arnold Palmer. There will be 17 teams competing with #39 NC State and #48 Campbell the only teams ranked in the Top 50. At #121 as of 3/12, Rutgers comes in the 8th ranked team in the field. Among others competing are #75 Boston Coll, ODU, #85 ECU, UNCG, #86 Charlotte, and Georgetown.

There are 3 Top 75 ranked players led by NC State's duo of #38 Marie Madsen and #74 Lauren Olivares, and Campbell's #53 Alicia Olsson.

The lineup has not been announced by RU but reportedly it will be the same 5 led by Fr Joline Truong, RU's highest ranked player at #433. Appears joining her will be Sr Capt Lucrezia Rossettin, RsSo Grace Lu, So Lucrezia Rossettin, and Fr Judy Amano with Sophs Krystal Li and Emily James playing as individuals. The team will be looking to get back on track after finishing last 2 out of 3 Spring events.

Note: Grad Kayla Diaz, who spent her undergrad years at Drew winning double digit events and a Top 20 finisher at the D3 NCAA's in '23 before Rutgers, has just been added as a 3rd RU individual participant, Diaz, a California native, is playing in a D1 event for the first time. To clarify, I used "events" because in D3 a number are 2 or 3 school, not a large number of teams.

Teams will play 36 holes Friday with the 18 hole final Saturday.

On this seemingly very difficult course, Rutgers put themselves behind the 8 Ball with a chance to improve their standing early with a very rough 3rd hole, a 505yd Par 5. The 5 players shot +11 on this hole alone en route to a 31 Over 319. The 5 scores were Bogey, Bogey, Bogey, Triple Bogey 8, and Quintuple Bogey 10. Now, it was the 3rd toughest hole for the 3 rounds according to scoring, but nowhere near averaging 7.2 strokes. The team +61 was good for 5th out of 17 entered so all was not bad as the Knights came in as the 8th ranked team of 17. It was their 2nd best finish of the Spring and 3rd best of the entire '24-'25 season.

Rutgers 31 Over Par was more Over than the combined over par total of Rounds 1 and 2 but still good enough to drop only 2 spots. Only 1 Player, Grace Lu, contributing to team score, shot under 80 with a 75. She finished a very respectable 9th (out of 95) overall for the weekend. Judy Amato and Lucrezia Rossettin shot 80, Lorena Rossettin shot 84 and Joline Truong shot 85. Playing as individuals Krystal Li shot 73, Emily James 83, and Kaiyla Diaz an 85. Lucrezia Rossettin finished T22 while Lorena finished T17.

Top 7 Teams

1. #85 East Carolina.............+22
2. #48 Campbell....................+39
3, #41 North Carolina St.....+47
4. #86 UNC Charlotte.........+57
5. #121 RUTGERS..................+61
6. #118 Coastal Carolina.....+64
7. #75 Boston College...........+74

There was a tie for Individual Champion. ECU's Danielle Moddar and Charlotte's Pimchompoo Chaisilprungruang both finished +2, 1 stroke ahead of 2 others.

Next for the Knights is the Rutgers Invitational Apr 5-6. Among the 17 entrants are Seton Hall, St Johns, Monmouth, LIU, Sacred Heart, Dartmouth, Lehigh and FDU,

Last year Rutgers, against many of the same teams, won by 26 strokes. Unfortunately 3 of RU's players who finished 1st, T6th, and 8th graduated. The do have Lorena Rossettin who finished 5th and Emily James who finished T6th playing as an individual.
