City of Oaks Collegiate is hosted by NC State at their Lonnie Poole GC. The Par 72, 6,325 course is the only college course designed by Arnold Palmer. There will be 17 teams competing with #39 NC State and #48 Campbell the only teams ranked in the Top 50. At #121 as of 3/12, Rutgers comes in the 8th ranked team in the field. Among others competing are #75 Boston Coll, ODU, #85 ECU, UNCG, #86 Charlotte, and Georgetown.
There are 3 Top 75 ranked players led by NC State's duo of #38 Marie Madsen and #74 Lauren Olivares, and Campbell's #53 Alicia Olsson.
The lineup has not been announced by RU but reportedly it will be the same 5 led by Fr Joline Truong, RU's highest ranked player at #433. Appears joining her will be Sr Capt Lucrezia Rossettin, RsSo Grace Lu, So Lucrezia Rossettin, and Fr Judy Amano with Sophs Krystal Li and Emily James playing as individuals. The team will be looking to get back on track after finishing last 2 out of 3 Spring events.
Note: Grad Kayla Diaz, who spent her undergrad years at Drew winning double digit events and a Top 20 finisher at the D3 NCAA's in '23 before Rutgers, has just been added as a 3rd RU individual participant, Diaz, a California native, is playing in a D1 event for the first time. To clarify, I used "events" because in D3 a number are 2 or 3 school, not a large number of teams.
Teams will play 36 holes Friday with the 18 hole final Saturday.
