A number of those matches will be televised and get national coverage on the wrestling sites.

Some good opportunities for wrestling tailgates... Opening Day Quad Meet, Rider match in December, Okie State, SB Sunday matinee vs Princeton.

Interesting that PSU on Flo talked about changes in their lineup for next year. Shaker goes to 184, Bo Nickal goes to 197 and Cassar goes to 285 to challenge Nevills. Good luck to that. Roman-Young at 133. Teske/Teasdale at 125. Nick Lee at 141 and Berge at 149. Nolf, Joseph and Hall stay the same.

Couple of possibilities/rumors with the Cassar thing. First, Nevills was injured last year and the extent of the injury is being held close to the vest. So, Cassar going up could be due to that. Next, there's a rumor around that Cassar beats Nevills in the room. If that's true, with Nevills finishing 5th and 7th the last two years, then that should put Cassar in All-American contention.

Once Bo decided to go 197, Shakur cutting to 184 was an easy decision, I'm sure. Shakur jokes around about how much food he was able to eat and still make 197, so a cut to 184 shouldn't be horrible, like getting to 165 was for him his freshman year.

Have we participated in the Cliff Keen event most years since Goodale has been in charge? Sounds like most other BIG teams are also going there and wonder if that is desirable versus perhaps doing the Southern Scuffle. Didn't Northwestern host a in season tournament a few years?

Regarding the schedule looks like we miss Penn State and OSU. Nice home slate.

Recently RU as wrestled at the Midlands Tourney end of Dec. Cliff Keen is just as good I guess, and a new place for our guys to see (Las Vegas?)
