St. Bonnies loss REALLY hurt this, that’s for sure. It’s a different team now, but that was a killer...oh well, just gotta snatch a few more that we aren’t expected to win, and could be dancing...
Pitt was equally bad performance.

Good comment, “It’s a different team now.” We were still a work in progress during that away game v Bonnies. It was our 4th game of this season, with 4 new starters versus our 4th game last year (Omoruyi, Doorson, Thiam, Kiss and Baker).

This year’s team has an identity now.

Very important, Nebraska has a fast player kind of like Pitt. Concerns me some.
NU is nowhere near Pitt as far as playing together as a team. Also, they are short (4 guards) who still don't play well together.

Lafayette - W
Caldwell - W
Nebraska - W
Penn State - W
Illinois - L
I feel you BIGTIME! The Illinois game does p*ss me off. I'm hoping Illinois plays one of those games where they are mistake-prone and overlook us. If Rutgers plays the D they are playing now, who knows?

Bac, due to all the auto bids, where would we need to be, NET wise, to at least be on the bubble. Top 40?

like the rpi, the ncaa doesnt just go by rankings, other factors come into play but its a guideline....the net nitty gritty of Q1 and Q2 records is very important as is SOS OOC and in league. Usually you have to have at least one quality non conference win...RU has that as long as SHU doesnt collapse, if they do, a win over a middling SHU who is missing the ncaa tourney means zero.

If RU is in the top 60 range they have a shot but if they dont have any Q1 wins its not going to happen

i will wait until the first official net rankings come out tomorrow, I know there are unofficial net rankings out now. RU is lagging right now at 101 but its rpi is 62. St Bonnies is a Q 3 loss so they will have to have a good year to get into the top 100 where it becomes a Q2 loss

I think with their 2 bigs the Illini will only get tougher the longer they play together. Of course that doesn't mean they won't have a couple head scratchers like last season.

January 3rd at Nebraska will be a good opportunity.
By the way, Tim Miles seems to be all in for Coach Pike and Coach Schiano. Said something like Coach Schiano is putting Rutgers magnets on cars as we speak on but he Big Ten Network.

Watched the Indiana-Nebraska game. At least for one game Nebraska looked good. They have a bunch of athletic guards who give RU fits. Would expect Nebraska to be favored at home

NU has athletic guards, but they lack size and organization. Depth is a problem as the rotation is still in flux. The way Rutgers' defense is playing you can neutralize NU. A matchup zone like SU would test their patience. NU has one legit shooter from 3pt land.

Have only seen Tim Miles on the B1G show twice, and he’s pretty good. Gives color commentary with humor and a coach’s insight.

Nebraska beating Purdue at the half by 11. They are spreading the floor well today. All big road games will be tough, no gimmies.

No gimmies, but the more I watch Purdue the more I think how inconsistent without their star guard from last year. Also, I'll put Purdue fans in the same category as Wisconsin, so I hope NU blows the doors off these *ssholes.

Carson Edwards, the star Purdue guard from last year, is playing in the G-League for the Celtics in Portland, Maine.

Nebraska wins by 14. Player for Nebraska had a triplet double, first in school history.
