Sanders Facebook live in RU jersey

Hes coming back. Also i follow him on instagram, wears the different jerseys often out and about.

Sanders normally wears his jerseys it seems. I get him wanting to get feedback, but I don't know, every year the suspense for him coming back or not is a little much. Just my opinion. Only because he was never said to be on any draft board, anywhere. If its for the d league, or thinking about overseas, that's another thing.

I am happy he explores his opportunities. It just leaves the fan base and team in a funny situation. Do they have a point guard? Not guaranteed. Must be weird.

I mean it is very frustrating. However, if you can get a free evaluation from the best in the biz and still return to school, why not? He will be back unless he wants to make D-League or mid-tier Euro money until he proves himself.

I think this year he will really prove himself. From social media hes in the gym non stop, training with top tier trainers on the west coast. He will be back and much better on O is my prediction.

I agree. I will say though, that free eval from the best in the biz is not that hard to obtain. Most here could tell you what Sanders needs to get to the next level. Also, his coach would do an even better job. The d league is 80gs next year supposedly.

Sanders never got that much one on one training. It seems to do wonders for his game. I think having Souf behind him will push him to pass more. Also, his team mates hitting shots will help. Sanders should never be playing off the ball, as he does have a career as a pg, and has shown the ability.

Best to him. My mom even roots for Sanders. He is a great kid who has beaten a good amount of adversity. He deserves to shine.

It's actually better for his career that he can play on and off the ball. Although defensively he can only guard the 1, postionless basketball is in vogue, and versatility on offense will only benefit him going forward.

The league is littered with 2 and 3 men who are playmakers and demand the ball. The 1 as basketball used to know it (pass first PG) is dead.

I would be shocked if Pike doesn't know his plans.

I agree on most parts. Still, Sanders is tops 6 1. You are going to be covered by people 6 5 an above if you are not handling the ball in the NBA. It makes it harder, and he has the skills to be a great point guard. Why not use them?

I would much rather have a pg ready to pass than not have one. On top of that, when you talk about positions and height, they mean something to people in the NBA and across basketball when you are trying to get in. Saying I am position less makes people have to think more. For instance, Rawle Alkins. Many scouts are pondering right now where he will play. Many people are also asking in the NBA what role does Dwayne bacon have. Sanders best friend. Given his height and weight, people are very surprised he can't grab 5 rebounds a game. I think Bacon will end up getting drafted late in the first, because scouts are wondering what his actual position is.

Position isn't everything, but a lot of the time it determines what your skill set is, and where youll be taking shots in the game. It is a useful tool that helps when players are evaluated.

I for one have no problem with him training alone. The college year is over. He is getting personalized training. This can only benefit us/him.

His shot will be better this year. Hopefully these guys make him go left for hours on end haha.

The opinion of those affiliated with the NBA matters. The opinions of us here aren't worth shit. The two aren't close to being the same thing

This is basketball. Not organic chemistry. Basketball was never meant to be that complicated of a sport.

That doesn't mean that some nobody's opinion is better than someone who works in the sport as a career at a high level

Sure, but still, it is not rocket science what Sanders needs to work on to get to that level. It was even stated that many NBA GMs go on their team reddit to get feedback on potential players entering the league.

It is great for Sanders to get feedback from people near the NBA. He could have easily gotten that feedback in Piscataway as well. The high level advice is at the RAC.

Sanders will be back.

As far going to the league as I've said before, he's not ready yet but he will have a shot if he keeps improving. And by shot I mean if he's not a late 2nd round pick which he isn't right now, he'll definitely be a summer league invite or at worst drafted by the d league which would give him an opportunity to fulfill his dream by getting called up

He's not close to being an NBA player right now. Can't shoot well enough, can't go left, doesn't know his limitations in terms of challenging inside, defense is very good but could get better, doesn't distribute well enough to play point.

Not saying he doesn't have NBA potential--he is superior athlete with some great skills, really needs to work his butt off and could stick with someone but will need the full four years to get there IMHO..

Per Brian Fonseca on twitter, " Underclassmen have until next Wednesday to take their names out of the draft & maintain their eligibility. Take this for what it's worth."

He does a great job.

Through social media it seems like he's been on a vacation with some pick up basketball mixed in. Doesn't really look like training to me.

Corey is enrolled at Sports Academy in LA (LINK - https://sportsacademy.us/)

Training alongside other high level prospects like Thomas Bryant (IU), Matt Jones (Duke), & D'Aaron Fox (UK). Certainly not a vacation - he's working hard.

Good for him. I don't get the hate on this. The kid is trying to reach his dream, who on here wasn't trying to do that at his age. Best of luck to him.

Well I stand corrected but if you're tapped into his social media accounts it also looks like pickup ball and a vacation.

If he is going against Top 15 pick D'Aaron Fox every day that is certainly better than being at the RAC going against Mike Williams and walkons. Those are the only guards currently on the Rutgers campus.

That's a good point though I love Mike W but with no Nigel he's wouldn't be getting the spirited competition he needs. So, hopefully, he reaches a new level for next year with this training and returns a better player. We do need Corey ALOT!!

Corey can get into the first round of the NBA Draft if he leads us to the 2019 NCAA Tournament!

Less than a handful of college juniors and seniors get drafted in the first round these days. The top upperclassmen usually get picked early in the second round, many of them have to go to GLeague. Corey can't declare anymore if I'm not mistaken, some new rule about only being able to test the waters twice. They were saying this in regards to Hamidou Diallo who would only be able to test the waters one more time as a freshman next year, saying he took a big risk.

He doesn't need to practice going after Fox, Nigel or Mike Williams. We know he can beat almost anyone off the dribble going right.

Shooting and left hand.

.

He gets personalized training at Rutgers. No one knows sanders deficiencies more than the coaching staff. Multiple people can work with him and have a vested interest in his improvement. I don't think there is a coincidence that last year he took a step back on the offensive end.

Corey's game needs more than fine tuning. he doesn't need help answering interview questions. Pikiell and company find nutrition very important, he doesn't need to learn about that in CA.

Look unless he is breaking a team rule or missing mandatory meetings, he can do whatever the heck he wants to do in the off season. It's his life. Who are you or me to say what is best for him? How do you know what he is working on? If you don't think playing and practicing against the best players in the country day in and day out is good for his game then you should just stop posting. It's MAY. Plenty of time to come back to Rutgers and work with the coaches. You have a hard on for Corey and are just always looking for reasons to be critical of him.

You are correct. It is his life and he can and should do whatever he wants. He is not breaking team rules or missing mandatory meetings.

I disagree that playing and practicing against the best players in the country is what he needs right now.

As far as how do we know what he is working on......he went this path last year and had same deficiencies. Hopefully things are different this time.

As far as me being critical of Corey.....I think he and the fan base have a delusional idea of what kind of basketball player he is. Talented YES a good B1G guard NO

Not a B1G Guard ? Really ? What happened in his head to head against other B1G guards to led you to that conclusion ?

More like talented YES a good BIG guard YES reached full potential NO

True or False....

Out of the 14 B1G point guards at least 7 were better than him.

If you have some background information, it would make your persistent argument stronger or weaker. Out of those guards, what years were they?

No one thought Sanders would be a one and done here. He has holes. Part of the culture surrounding basketball is why he is trying to get feedback from the NBA. Better than 50% is not a terrible number. And on what criteria is this based on? Hopefully the position you take can be settled and an answer can be had.
