Why is it so poorly made? I'd like to order some stuff but being that it's incredibly bad, I'm concerned about my card security.

I didn't mean to sound rude and I value what you do for the Rutgers community very much (you see me in the store every Fall, so you know me fairly well).I double checked with the guy who designed the site ( RU grad ). The site uses up to date SSL certificates and is monitored. Credit card info is never stored on the web host's database and processing is thru authorize.net. So, you're safe and secure.
That being said, the website is not something we put a lot of time or effort into. ROI is just not that great. Could we do a better job....heck yes, but with athletics teaming up with Fanatics and bombing all of us with emails 2/3 times a week about this off or that sale etc, it's tough to compete. I'll never have access to those databases or be able to compete with a giant like Fanatics. Outside of a few special occasions, or holiday, we don't get a ton of sales to make it worth while to invest thousands on the back end. Honestly, just don't have the time to maintain the products/photos etc. I'd rather be at my kids lacrosse tourney all weekend, or the beach....
