Rutgers is not ready to come out and publicly say anything other than Kill is weighing his options because of his health. However, recruits and players have been made aware that he may not be back. There were a lot of concerns regarding his health through the end of the season and each week he looked as though he was becoming very worn down from the grind. It affected his time with the team and even his travel arrangements.
Another thing to note is that Kill has some help in game-planning from offensive line coach AJ Blazek. But the main concern was his health and Kill’s wife helps a great deal in that regard. This decision will be a joint one and it is likely that if Kill decides to call it quits, it could mark the end of his coaching career altogether.
