It's ashame more people can't drag themselves away from their tailgates for a few minutes to greet the team.
NICE! EARLY in the A.M. BUT a nice reception. RUTGERS FB is DEFINITELY getting there.
I agree but this is why everyone always say it should start at the circle. It's a good 15-25 minute each way from the purple or black lots. It's not just a few minutes
Just saying it cracks me up, he gets off the bus and just start walking like " hey everyone, meet me inside"
Ahhh gotcha...well with the way we start games he might sprint to the Hale Center next time lol
If they started at the circle there would be a drastic change to the environment.
Someone walks from the cirlce to the statue pulling a bull horn 5min before they get to the circle. Then watch the people flauck the street waiting for the team to walk by. Have the band lead them in.
Its not that f*cking hard people! Yet, someone is being paid sitting there thinking,"how can we make the Scarlet Walk better? Hmmmmm" SMH
I've read this carp so many times before. There isn't enough people in the Blue or Yellow lots at that time to even remotely make this happen. Yesterday I had to make a mad dash from the Blue Lot just to make it on time. There was only 3 rows of cars in the Blue Lot. It's like that every game.
Very true and always ignored by people who think it should start at the circle. I used to be one of them until you pointed it out.
I've accompanied my husband to the games for more than 20 years. I really love all of the traditions surrounding the game, half-time and pre-game. I've been pretty disappointed this year. We will not be making a big effort to get into the stadium early any longer but plan to take in the scarlet walk at the next game.
Just curious, what changed with the pre-game activities that caused you to make this decision?
Agree........would also be nice to see more students. But then this sentiment also applies to game attendance. Probably already expressed in another earlier post but the game attendance was really disappointing. Do we expect more for the conference games?
What has changed is that we no longer sing the alma mater and the are no longer playing the horse video. The new team video is disjointed, badly filmed and loud.
