Seniors in baseball lineup

I looked at the stats for the first two weekends -- the three senior starters are 8 for 48 with one extra base hit.
 
The team batting average is .228. If you break it down, the three senior starters are batting .167 and the rest of the team is batting .250. Only four individuals are hitting over .250; three freshman and one sophomore.

This looks like a pretty ugly start. However, if the seniors pick it up, and the freshmen continue to perform at an acceptable level, and the injured shortstop returns, things could improve considerably. I also wonder if the Maryland transfer is still a candidate to get a waiver to play this year.

very surprising how sclafani and bowerbank have started. I posted that in the chicago state game and they both proceeded to get hits. I dont know if they are just struggling. However as stated even though we lack power, if the frosh continue and the seniors get back to their average leve with digeorgio coming the lianeup could be could from hitting perspective. Power and run production still would be a concern. And without pitching, the batting would have to be elite
