Seton Hall

RU took a lot of heat for getting beat down by SHU and GW - but both possibly maybe legitimate NCAA dancing teams.....certainly GW..and by the look of it - SHU as well - as they have defeated Marquette; Wich State, etc

It just goes to show we're better than people think. We played a grueling schedule.

SHU's bought and paid-for '14 recruiting class is earning their keep. They can enjoy this season, expect Delgado and Whitehead to leave for NBA next year.

What? There is no draft board in the world that has AD on it. IW is charitably late 2nd round. Khadeen, Desi and Ish are our best players this year.

OK, take away Delgado's 10+ boards per game and Whitehead's team-leading scoring and assists and let's see how SHU looks. They both have had pro$$$ in their eyes since H.S.

Seton hall is better than Indiana. Of course I thought we were horrible vs the Hall.

They are a good team and I think they will get better as the season goes on. That's why it always drove me nuts when I would read here and in the media that "Monmouth is the best college team in New Jersey." Let's get into conference play first and then we can revisit that statement around President's Day weekend or so.

Well, that may prove to be true over time. I think SHU plays better defense than IU, but IU was missing their second leading scorer yesterday. They do not get too much sympathy from me since we were missing three guys who could have helped.

Delgado is a player and Bryant has a ways to go. Think Hall is better.

If how we played d last night becomes the norm we can be good. SHU fans underestimate the value of Isaiah. We did the same for dehere. And you can comment on the iw/tiny package deal, but the other guys had no funny biz, not Angel (came cause of close relationship to Oliver antigua), not Khadeen, not desi, not nzei, not ish. Very few six man classes have six winners but all of these guys are good.

Nice effort yesterday. I can't stand creen

So you're saying SHU wouldn't be good without its two best players? That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Except for Kentucky, Duke, etc., take away any team's two best players and they're probably not that good.

Last season the Hall looked good until February then fell apart.
Lets see how this year ends before putting them among the best NBE teams.
I believe all the Pirate fans were bragging about Seton Hall's team this time last year, especialy
after beating St. John's and Nova in consecutive games.
But in the end went stone cold silent ( except for the whining & crying) about the way the Satan Hell team ended last season.

Seton Hall is athletic and they can defend and rebound. Shooting is suspect but those guys are a year older and went through the chemistry issues and may have learned their lessons from that. We'll see----it's a hard league and a long season.

The Gordon kid is a very solid player-----not flashy but a good all around player.

While not following the Big East that closely that was a nice win for the Hall. Willard may have a clue after all. Should give all the EJ supporters some hope.

The only relevant Issue is that Seton Hall has far superior talent as compared to Rutgers based on the last two games played.Seton Hall has many players that would be starting at Rutgers including bench players.

Fans really need to focus on what Rutgers needs to do rather than questioning how good other teams are.

Thread was about Seton Hall and only said they beat Marquette.
Since Rutgers wasn't mentioned, only talked about the Hall when I replied.

No that's not what I'm saying, so somehow you're hearing voices in your head. I was pointing out to TruBlue how ridiculous his claim was that Delgado and Whitehead aren't in the top 3 on your team, and apparently you agree. I sure hope you're not any lawyer I work with (better not be you JL, MY or MG!!!).

Whitehead opens things up for your team offensively. He isn't shooting very accurately to this point but so much of SHU's offensive sets key off his ball movement. As far as recruitment SHU hired Antigua specifically to bring in Delgado, that's no secret. I doubt Carrington is at SHU without the commitments of Delgado and Whitehead. And I have nothing against playing the recruiting game like that--Duke pulls that stuff regularly. I'd be very happy if RU started winning big-time recruits that way too.
