Should've fouled Happ on the last possession.

Turning point in that game was the And 1 and Candido Sa missing both free throws.

Have to be careful there. Ref would have called a foul on the shot plus 1

Sa ..who hasn't made a shot from the line inn forever...the turning point was him not having the strength to flush it down. and the last 3 minutes where one coach knew it was time to foul and make Rutgers go to the line.

This times 100

Yes, on way back from game. Should have fouled hard, but not too hard to get technical on last shot by Happ. And Sa needed to go strong to basket. Funny thing is desperation heave at buzzer almost went in - although I prefer long pass towards foul lane, and try to get short shot or foul.

I think Wisconsin also missed a two free throw situation, a bit earlier

the loss here stings a bit, but not as bad as though it would have helped us either
get a NCAA bid, or finish higher in league, etc

we put on a decent show and the team plays defense like a good team

Don't put CJ one on one with Happ. You know they are going to him so double him. Then foul him as he could not make a foul shot all day. No way he makes two in a row.

sa could have let the kid blow by and it's a bunnie. Definitely should have fouled Happ

Great effort just not enough

There were a lot of reasons we lost the game in OT and this one is one of the important ones. When Sa was wide open for the dunk he tried to finesse it up there with a lazy-ass layup. Dunk the Effin' ball!!!! Other obvious reasons, FT shooting, which we did better today and turnovers. We really need to clamp down on silly TO's, which include bad perimeter passing and dribbling into traffic.

As for the endgame with Happ, yes we should have fouled him there and make him earn the tie at the charity stripe, but that's a split decision by Gettys, who remember, had four fouls already, and that probably got into his head instead of realizing, "Who cares. If I foul out and send him to the FT line and he misses one, we win the game..."

I knew we would lose in OT because you can't allow the 15th ranked team, who is used to playing tight games back in.

Still, as angry as I was when we lost the game, hours later, I'm very proud of the overall effort. Pikiell can friggin' coach and once we get a few lights out shooters in here, we will win more of these games than lose them.

Crispin did a nice job announcing the game. He kept saying over and over you can't lean on Happ or give him the baseline. Gettys had help in the middle but still overplayed him and gave him the baseline where there was no help.

Why does sa shoot the three as he did tonight again? Hoists a number per mnts that has to be near high end.

I agree with RU MAN
When it went into overtime I had little hope....Wisc is used to playing close games & funishes well

and YES Happ should have been hammered his last 3 shots
we let him do whatever he wanted in overtime
and he gained confidence
