One went down and two barely rolled out. Great game for him. That was an athletic team and he played great D. Shows how much some on this board knows. When help D is there everyone plays good D.Has to keep shooting while he is in, was good to see one go down. Need to get him better placed passes, though, so he can catch and shoot.
Look, I think he had played poorly all year. But I watched him. Martini played well last night. With that low bar, Carino must be related to Martini. 1 rebound, 33% from field (including a missed layup), 50% from line and that is what he tweets
It was one of his better games but the fact that he was somewhat competent yesterday does not translate into playing well. It certainly wasn’t worthy of a shout out by Carino. That's what he needs--confidence. Would loosen him up & the 3's would fall.Let's see if we can get another positive game in a row out of him. That would build some confidence.
Is it that hard to include JMike? Once again the offensive flow was better with him on the court, his defense was pretty good, and he hit 4 consecutive BIG foul shots down the stretch. 1-2 from the field, 4-4 from the line, 3 rebounds and 1 TO in 12 minutes. Pretty good for a guy who some poster recently said should be playing at William Patterson. It was one of his better games but the fact that he was somewhat competent yesterday does not translate into playing well. I thought his defense was excellent and he took three good outside shots in the flow of the offense and made a third of them. I think his biggest contribution was in his ability to handle the press well especially in light of Dylan still working his way back into full game strength. Is it that hard to include JMike? I also think Martini is likely playing better D in practice. Its like Martini was trying not to mistakes and was afraid to shoot and saw his PT dwindling. Now he is out of the rotation and it is almost as if he had nothing to lose.
I am guessing he has been knocking down shots in practice and the staff thought it could translate to a few point in real games
