SHU 10 point favorites over RU.....

That sounds about right. But I would think our kids would take that as a challenge and play above their heads. I'm hoping for a a great game. Tough but winnable.

As of today, Sagarin has #50 Seton Hall (81.84) beating #98 Rutgers (76.20) by roughly 9 points (81.84 - 76.20 + 3.10 home court advantage = 8.74).

Question: Is the Rutgers roster healthy (no flu) and injury-free?

open was 10, it can move quickly from the opening number.....take the points regardless.....

I predicted a couple days ago it would open at 10. At this moment we are #97 at Segarin with a 76.15. SHU is at #49 with a 82.03 so they are rated at 5.88 better than us and they get 4.0 points for home court making it 9.88 rounded off to 10.

I need a win, nothing but bad news putting a damper on my Christmas spirit.

Surprised it isn't a bigger spread. Didn't you guys hear? Seton Hall won the mighty Big East tourney last year, are at home and are alresdy a lock to make the dance this year. And poor RU is the worst program in college basketball history and has played a bunch of cupcakes this year. Why isn't this closer to a 25 point spread which one highly knowledgeable Hall poster continues to insist will be the outcome?

Considering we lost by 29 to them at home last year, I'll take being a 10 point road dog right now.

Kenpom has 10 point difference to. I was expecting -12
I was expecting the same 12-point opening line. Funny things happen when the game is played. Like, we are fighters and can win. When we didn't fold against Miami after they went up by 20+ on two separate accusations, but went on runs of our own to make it competitive, I said to myself that we've got a team here. Pike is prepeared for game scenarios and knows how to sub and make adjustments. We have a bench with players, too, as @jellyman pointed out in another thread.

Don't know why games are played. Sports betting lines and mathematic algorithms should just determine the winner before games are played.

A lot of you are missing the point. We're not talking about the line impacting the game (at least I'm not). It's about the $$$$. Not a lot of sports bettors ITT.

Line is down to 9.5 online--waiting until the afternoon to see it hopefully go up again and then jumping on it

8.5 now... I only trust one person when it comes to buying picks. He is a handicapper on pregame.com called "Essler". His triple tonight(Strongest bet of the night)... RU! He says dont be surprised if we win outright.

Pregame the biggest group of scammers on the planet. Do some research.

I don't know about the flu bug, but I am pretty sure they are injury free besides maybe Bullock.
