Don't worry, Willard and his MAAC staff will hold back shoe yet again...

That's a really good senior class. SHU is poised for a special season provided they can stay healthy.
I frankly could care less where they come from.Good for him and for NJ college hoops.
Pike has to start keeping the better NJ high school players home.
Maybe so. The America East a powerhouse?
I frankly could care less where they come from.
I would prefer Coach has a player's zip/area code much lower on the checklist than talent and fit for what he is trying to do here.
not looking to get into a pissing match about which coach is better--feel free to keep that garbage on your site, simply looking at Willard's body of work, which is a lot longer. btw, Pikell at least took SBU to the tourney once, unlike Willard at Iona...Hobbs on staff isn't mid-major caliber either
I believe one has nothing to do with the other. Does Duke care where they come from? As long as they are good, who cares? If he can't get good NJ area players to come to their state university how can we expect him to get good players from other regions?
Considering one of their guys in the semi-recent past was from Alaska, I would say Coach K doesn't care either.I believe one has nothing to do with the other. Does Duke care where they come from? As long as they are good, who cares?

Go get yer shine box! LolHey Rat, where have you been? I sort of missed your venomous anti SHU posts. Brings back memories of the old message board wars.
Well, Rutgers isn't Duke, so.I believe one has nothing to do with the other. Does Duke care where they come from? As long as they are good, who cares?
It's Rat. Forgive him for He knows not what he's talking about.scarlet - he took SHU to thr dance, twice.
This is a dumb argument. You are in effect arguing that our present AD makes questionable hiting decisions.
I don't see a fun event at the RAC when Seton Hall starting lineup clearly overmatches Rutgers depleted squad assuming Sanders departure. The local recruit theory is nice but not a requirement to succeed....basketball is a global sport, same rules everywhere, there is nothing special from a NJ recruit from a NY/PA/MD/DC or VA recruit etc....Take the most talented kids that want to join your program....
Regarding Delgado, given their beefed up OOC schedule, this can only help their cause in those matchups like Indiana, Louisville and RU....in conference, Delgado keeps a hole from being created or forcing them to go the grad transfer/JUCO market to get rebounds. Going to be a fun event at the RAC when they visit will a full roster.
It could be a fun event if you're a SH fan.
I don't care where they come from either, but still ... Duke is a private university and we are not, and unlike Kansas we have a lot of basketball talent within a short drive of our campus. The logic of recruiting well locally is inescapable.Duke like Kentucky, Kansas and Ville along with a few others are National Brands.
If they had to play with the best of their states there wouldn't be many one and dones wearing their UNI's
SHU is loaded but somehow I think we will make it a good game. We did lead by 8 or 9 at the half at the PRU this past season and the game was only a 1 point game with two and a half minutes remaining. SHU with all their 4 starters who have played forever should win easily but I think we will play well. I am not saying we will win but perhaps SHU might be reading to many headlines.
