to those that still say I'm terrible and the worst DJ of all time... THANK YOU.
For those that actually supported, I'd be glad to host you at my section for the NJ Devils this season. I'll even provide you with a coupon code discounted seating.
For folks traveling out to the B1G Ten Championship weekend, I'll be there all week for the festivities and spinning the game.
And for those that care about giving back for a great cause, please join me for the WBA/WBC Fight Night DC in November. Tickets start at $750. Enjoy the welcome reception party, Under Armour VIP event, WBA/WBC title fight and an after party with myself and Grandmaster Flash & more....
To those that do nothing BUT complain and aren't up to change, do you even realize what we did at Rutgers?
9 seasons in and people STILL called for me to "be fired." People lack the ability to change and adapt to the new generation's way of doing things. We took something that was only done in certain arenas and avenues in sports and made it something that programs across the country do now.
How do I know that it was based off of what we did at Rutgers? because programs in the ACC, Big 12 and yes... EVEN SEC contacted us for booking inquiries. When I told them my allegiance was to Rutgers, they understood and asked that we help them with their game day selections. So yes, I'm 100% proud of that... even when people rained down with negative comments. "He can't DJ, he's not a producer, he's terrible on a microphone."
I heard it all on this message board. Rarely have I challenged anyone. People are entitled to think the way they want to think and say whatever they'd like to say.
People on boards act pretty high and mighty. I've met people who have "called for my head" on the forum, but will shake my hand and smile in person. All I'll say is if you put positive vibes and thoughts towards something rather than negative, you won't always be so negative in life. Also stop being selfish. Think about how what you say or do can affect other people's lives.
Thank God I'm successful enough that I did Rutgers at cost. I could have been with any other program charging a full rate, but I didn't because I'm an alum and I enjoyed my time with the program.
But let's say that I wasn't as successful outside of Rutgers Football as I am today? What if Rutgers were my only source of income as it is for some of the contractors that work with the program. Think about how your "let's fire" XYZ starts a ripple. Sometimes the ripple is just that a ripple with no effect. But what about when it does change someone's life? Do I go to your board and bosses saying you're TERRIBLE at being a lawyer, a surgeon, a contractor? Truth is, I have no idea what it means to be good at any of your disciplines in life... so what makes you think that you know what a good DJ is or does?
Walk a month in any professional DJ's shoes. Our business is based off of relationships, word of mouth and accolades. So please, give the new DJ a chance. give him a chance to learn and grow. Please stop being so negative in life. You'll be a much better person, employee or employer.
Good luck for the rest of the season and thank you again to those supporters out there. It's been an absolute pleasure.
