Since Maryland is up next, the Silencer asks if you wonder why young Mr. Haskins has been so solid in his committment to Maryland despite having no coach. In a world where recruits jump at uncertainty we havent seen that with young Mr Haskins.

The Silencer knows why. DH does not play for Maryland. He plays for UA.

All of them play for UA. Have they lost any commits?

Mmmmm the saltiness of those tears taste glorious. God forbid Maryland leverages their biggest asset to recruits.

dudes.. it ain't UA.. it's the free all you can eat CRAB CAKES!!!

"Leverage it's biggest asset" is one way to describe it. Giving improper benefits to recruits is the most accurate way. UA is flat out paying a certain players' father for a do-nothing job. Build your house of cards by cheating, it will soon come crashing down and UMD will be as disgraced as UNC, and from the looks of it will have very little winning to show for it.

What Extra Point thinks, and he is a pretty smart guy, is that DH's deal is still in place. The Extra Point also thinks that the deal may ultimately fall through.

Do you think our recruiting class wants to play "for Rutgers"?

If the kids are smart, they do. They are old enough to realize the odds are pretty good they won't have the same coaching staff throughout their career.

I don't track recruits that closely, but I recall a couple who were pretty vocal about wanting to play for Flood.

Much like Chuck Norris, I don't need to refer to myself in the 3rd person...

It's undestood

The mildone thinks the Chuck Norris could refer to himself in the 5th person and the Chuck Norris would still be both a girly-man and a bad actor. The Bruce Lee would've taken the Chuck Norris apart.

I'm sure you have something solid to base this on, right? Can you share some details?

You know I won't do that. But don't you worry, you'll get every sordid detail soon enough when it's all out in the open after an investigation is done. I don't blame UMD for cheating. They never had a football program so even if they get caught, it's not very far to fall.

If Flood being dismissed would lead to said recruits going elsewhere, then so be it. At this point we hopefully learned our lesson and are way past any consideration of maintaining the coaching staff in order to keep a mediocre (at best) recruiting class.

Yeah, I was pretty sure you wouldn't.

You must be the brains of this operation.

I think Rutgers last 7 years or so clearly has been better, but honestly, for Rutgers to look down their noses at anyone is laughable.

GO look at how are programs compare and tell me yours is better?

Maybe, and I'm cynical enough to accept that. But after Edsall was canned, Haskins was emphatic that he is committed to the stater, not the coach. Take it for what it's worth.

Yeah, I was pretty sure you wouldn't.

Well yea, that was an easy bet. I. Not going to throw multiple direct sources under the bus to prove something to a random message board guy. Tell ya what, when it all comes out a few years from now, you can come back and kiss my feet.

Good for Maryland. Duke basketball has been doing this for decades, and all they have to show for it are a bunch of national championships, NBA players, and a coaching legend.

I applaud them for doing what they have to do in order to compete.
