SJU got robbed

Sju is good, but depth will be a problem. Getting keita back will help.

Do most think the ref just made the wrong call, assuming they were out of bounds? If so, isn't it best for the ref personally to have the balls to overturn his mistake. And dont the other two refs have to buy in to the decision after reviewing? So it makes little sense to make up the clock as a cover story.

But brutal call for sju, and heroic last play by Seton Hall.
At the initiation of the throw in, Seton Hall had “team control.“ Team control does not necessarily end when the inbound pass is tipped. If Seton hall still had “team control,” and the whistle was inadvertent, the ball would have to go back to Seton Hall, no matter how unfair. If Seton Hall was found not to have had team control when the inadvertent whistle blew, they must go to the arrow (notwithstanding what one of your posters said.). They must have ruled that Seton Hall still had team control at the time of the inadvertent whistle.

I didn’t see the game at all, so I have no idea how poorly St Johns blew it down the stretch. That being said, the refs botched this. That’s a terrible job. You can’t rationalize the decision they made. Why does Seton Hall get the ball back just because “the clock didn’t start?” SJU deflected the pass and intercepted it. That makes ZERO sense

What makes ZERO sense is that you are commenting on a play that you didn't even see and taking the word of specific posters.......lol

Reread my post. I didn’t say I didn’t see the play. I said I didn’t see the game and how SJU blew down the stretch. But I saw the highlights and what happened. That makes no sense

You don’t know the rule involved. But you have the opinion. With all thy getting, get knowledge.

My Nova fans and friends also state that Josh Hart lost part of his limbs getting fouled at the BE tournament SHU won a couple of years ago....and yeah they're still bitter about that non-call even after winning 2 titles in 3 years.

And RU won two games against SHU on absolutely horrible calls that decided both games: the offensive foul on Pope at the Rock and the foul on Douby in overtime at the Rac. Care to defend those two calls?

What was offensive about Pope were the punches he threw at Rutgers ‘ players gonads.

He should have been ejected in vitro.

You are right it makes no sense because the highlights didn’t show everything. You needed to look at what happened prior. Still stand by what I wrote...lol

To review: Trailing by one with 3.9 seconds left and inbounding along St. John's baseline, Seton Hall appeared to have its inbound pass stolen, which essentially would have iced the win for the Johnnies. But Stephens blew his whistle, thinking the clock hadn't started (it had), and the Pirates got a second chance to inbound the ball.

They made the most of it, as sophomore guard Shavar Reynolds swished a 3-pointer with four-tenths of a second left. The Red Storm (12-1) and their fans have been seeing red since. Seton Hall (10-3) had rallied from 14 points down.

IMO they'll win the BE and be a lock on Selection Sunday barring injuries.

T-rank currently gives them a 6% chance of winning the league outright and an additional 7% chance of sharing the conference title and a predicted 10-8 record. KenPom also predicts them to go 10-8 in conference play.
