The guy is flat-out recruiting at Western Kentucky.

IIRC, Western Kentucky was one of the schools recruiting Candido Sa so that has turned out to be a nice recruiting victory.

Interesting. I wouldn't have imagined that WKU has a lot to use as a lure, other than a sizeable, if now pretty old, arena. It will always be 3rd fiddle in a state where UK basketball is the state religion, including for WKU students from what I've been told, and UL basketball dominates its metro region. Bowling Green is a very small, rather isolated sleepy town. WKU is stuck in a CUSA conference that has seen its better members leave over the past few years.

I wonder how he is doing it.

Stansbury's departure from his salad days at Mississippi State was announced as a retirement "to spend more time with his family". Many think he was eased out the door. Some say he got out of town before the sheriff arrived.

The very first cross country meet I ever ran in as a freshman was at Western Kentucky. I will never forget that day.

This is a guy who got reprimanded for shady tactics while an assistant coach at Austin Peay decades ago. SEC folks said he was dirty, which means he must have been filthy.

I also saw on twitter that one time he showed up at the home of a recruit while another coach was doing an in-home visit.

I also read many coaches back off guys he recruits, because they don't want to get involved in those games.
