Yesterday a pitcher, Pat Venditte made his major league debut at age 29. As an ambidextrous pitcher who was first drafted by the Yankees, there is a rule about how he can switch pitching arms.

That got me to thinking. Pro vs. dual QB's is a major differential in College. Is there or has there ever been a QB who can throw (equally well) with either arm. If coupled with running capabilities my guess is it would more than double the playbook- E.g. Roll out right, throw left handed to slot making a move from the left to the right; roll out right, fake the left handed hand off, then throw a right handed pass to slot who runs from left side of field to right etc.

Just wondering.

Regardless, I'm very happy about Venditte's cup of coffee...and while his stuff is not overpowering, I hope he is able to hang around for awhile. It's s fun story / could create some interesting scenarios in the future.

Watched him pitch with the Thunder and with the rail riders up In Scranton. Really thought the yankees were serious about him at one point. Good to see he is getting his shot
